TikToker tests how long it takes to be kicked out of Cici’s Pizza buffet in viral video

TikToker Madison has gained over three million views after being kicked out of a Cici’s Pizza chain restaurant for overstaying her welcome during an all-you-can-eat buffet session.

Cici’s Pizza allows customers to pay a small fee to eat as much pizza as their heart desires. The chain’s website does not have any time limit on the offer stated.

Madison stayed at the restaurant for over eight hours but was ultimately asked to leave by staff according to a “new rule” just made on how long a customer can stay..

The TikToker often creates content in which she pushes restaurants to their limits, including adding all menu items to a taco at Taco Bell and eating an 18,000-calorie 12-person ice cream all to herself at The Sugar Factory.

Madison spent over eight hours at Cici’s Pizza buffet before being kicked out

After arriving at 11 a.m., TikToker Madison paid $8.49 for the all-you-can-eat option at her local Cici’s Pizza, which allows her endless pizza slices and cinnamon rolls.

Following her first round of pizza, Madison turned her attention to playing the restaurant’s arcade games, yet to receive any flack from the staff. At 3 p.m., she returned to her initial mission and “got back to work,” as she explained in the video.

Madison then ate for “a couple more hours” but decided to quench her thirst by buying a drink. “I’m getting scammed left and right,” she exclaimed, after paying five dollars for the soda. “Don’t worry, I’m going to get my money’s worth,” she added.

After six hours and 40 minutes of eating, Madison returned for more, choosing various slices of pizzas with toppings. It wasn’t long before an employee stopped Madison in her tracks, however.

“I do have to ask you to leave because you’ve been here for longer than two hours,” the employee told Madison in the video. “They just made a new rule. I’m sorry,” she added.

In total, Madison spent eight hours in the restaurant, staying from 11 to seven, before being kicked out by staff. With tax, she paid $9.34 for eight hours of unlimited pizza, working out at just over $1.10 per hour. “What a rip off,” ruled the TikToker in the video. “I didn’t get my money’s worth but I still had fun.”

Madison’s all-you-can-eat attempt went viral online

After being up for eight days, Madison’s video has reached over 3 million viewers and her all-you-can-eat vigilantism has been met with praise online.

“I live for these. Thank you. Let me pay for the next buffet adventure,” wrote one user.

Another added: “You’re my hero, Madison. I need you to know that.”

She isn’t the first to be curious

Despite Madison’s pizza-based investigative journalism being of the utmost importance and groundbreaking, she’s not the only one to be curious about the rules of buffets.

In 2016, VICE journalist Oobah Butler did his own similar investigative work into just how far you can take it when it comes to unlimited dining.

During one attempt, Butler spent almost seven hours at a Chinese restaurant buffet without any question. When he asked staff if it was normal for that to happen, the staff simply shrugged and told him: “Sure, you only stayed for six hours and fifty minutes. It’s coo, brother.”
