Ryan Gosling Takes A Beating In The Fall Guy Trailer

Before he became one of Hollywood’s go-to action directors, David Leitch was a stuntman who worked on movies like «Blade» and «The Bourne Ultimatum.» So, really, he’s the perfect filmmaker to tackle «The Fall Guy,» as he understands the mindset of stunt performers and has proven capable of delivering crowd-pleasing action blockbusters.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Leitch explained that «The Fall Guy» is a passion project for him, so audiences can rest assured knowing the film is in good hands. «I was a former stunt performer, so it’s very, very dear to me,» he said.

Of course, «The Fall Guy» is also a reboot of the 1980s TV series of the same name, starring Lee Majors as a stuntman with a bounty-hunting side hustle. Ryan Gosling told THR that he’s honored to continue that legacy while noting that his character will be downtrodden following a messy breakup with his girlfriend. As such, fans can expect an homage that brings some fresh ideas to the table.
