Age Progression Filter on TikTok
The effect is called Time Travel and it’s gone viral on TikTok. However, it’s been nicknamed the Age Progression Filter.
It uses artificial intelligence to accurately predict what you will look like over the years, starting in 2023 and going through the decades.
‘Tap mode’ lets you choose to see yourself in the next five decades, including 2033, 2043, 2053, 2063 and 2073.
However, the most popular one if ‘auto mode’ which automatically scrolls through the years as you watch yourself age.
How to do the Age Progression Filter
- Open TikTok
- Click on ‘Home’
- Tap the magnifying glass
- Search ‘Time Travel Filter’
- Click on one of the videos
- Tap ‘Time Travel’ above the username
- Choose ‘Use this effect’
Time travel effect makes people cry
The viral filter is reducing people to tears as they see what they could look like in decades to come.
One person wrote: “Did the aging filter on TikTok then immediately started crying.”
“TikTok aging filter making me realize I need plastic surgery,” said another.
A third person added: “Whoever made the aging filter on TikTok is going to hell.”
“Why am I crying over a stupid aging filter. TikTok I don’t wanna age,” someone else wrote.
