Gag City is an AI-generated kingdom by Barbz, themed according to Nicki Minaj‘s forthcoming album, Pink Friday 2.

The name of the city is a wordplay for “gagged”, a slang to describe something amazing or stunning, according to Mirror.

After Nicki shared the cover art on her album – with her standing on a pink subway in a pink-tinted city, fans came up with the amazing idea of creating a full-fledged city using AI and that’s how Gag City came to be.

Nicki also hoped on the trend by sharing a tweet about the imaginary city that read: “As we begin to prepare for landing, please make sure your tray tables are put back up & your seat belts are tightly fastened. The captain has activated the “no bathroom” sign. If you look out the window, you’ll begin to see the beauty…clear waters, pink dolphins…#GagCity #PF2”

Thanks to AI, fans have shared various versions of Gag City, imagining it in all possible ways. From Anaconda Club to pink highways, the AI-Kingdom is everything Barbz could ever imagine.

AI Kingdom trends ahead of Pink Friday 2’s release

Gag City is all over TikTok and X/Twitter as fans are posting their imagination of the made-up world.

One fan shared the image of Send Ya Reader Library in Gag City, dedicated to Barbz who have stayed in school, while another imagined AI Godzilla in the virtual kingdom.

Another post on X depicts AI Nicki giving away free goodies to children on the outskirts of Gag City while another shows a greener version of the pink-tinted city with AI trees and waterfalls in natural colors with pink sky over the woods.

Fans are thoroughly enjoying the AI-kingdom themed on Nicki’s new album as anybody can take part in the trend with their unique imagination of Gag City.

AI celebrities have arrived in the virtual world

The trend surrounding Gag City has become popular quickly because fans are imagining AI celebrities in the virtual realm.

One viral AI-generated video sees Rihanna‘s face displayed on “Brabz Khalifa” in Gag City as she announces her arrival and another imagines Kanye West getting out of the plane to enter the AI Kingdom.

As well as AI Ice Spice on a motorboat in Gag City you can also see fictional characters such as The Grinch sneaking into the city to steal Nicki’s new album.

Pink Friday 2 is slated for release on December 8, on the occasion of Nicki’s 41st birthday.
