The price of Beyonce’s casual dinner wine is a far cry from a $9 bottle of Barefoot

Beyoncé fans were left staggered this week after discovering the cost of a recent bottle of wine the singing sensation enjoyed.

As one of the most notable people on the planet, Beyoncé is privy to a version of life most of us can’t begin to understand. She reportedly pays her six nannies $100k each and is no stranger to some of the swankiest clothes out there. Why should her wine be any different?

What wine does THE Beyoncé drink?

Earlier this week, the Texas-born singer took to Instagram where she treated her 319m followers to a look at her private life. In a massive photo dump, she shared images of stunning outfits, parties and long-time husband Jay Z.

Eagle-eyed fans were enthralled by a stunning bottle of wine that was front and centre in one of the pictures, leading many to believe it was a particular favourite of the Bey. In another picture, the mum of three could be seen taking a long whiff of the red with a cheeky smile on her face.

Naturally, fans put on their Sherlock Holmes caps and dedicated a Google search to the wine. Petrus, pulled from vines aged up to 70, would cost the average shopper around $7,549! The brand does do other varieties, but if you want the same as Bey, you might need to start saving.

Fans were left stunned by the revelation

Taking to X, formally known as Twitter before Elon Musk’s takeover, one person wrote: “Y’all I went online to buy this wine because Beyonce posted it. WOW was I quickly humbled.”

“Wheeeeew thats like for a EXTRA EXTRA  SPECIAL occassion for me to drop a bag like that for some wine,” another person wrote, while a third added, “Is this the wine jesus turned at the wedding.”

Someone else said: “Lmaooo now you should’ve known all their wines be thousands of dollars. I looked up one in the past before and was shook.”

We might just have to stick to Barefoot and perhaps print off the Petrus label!
