Across the board, it seems like Marvel Studios is making major decisions to scale back its output in an effort to bring back the goodwill that it’s lost over the years. It’s no secret that post-«Avengers: Endgame,» Marvel has faced its fair share of woes, both financially and critically. Brad Winderbaum says that now, Marvel can create more effective projects and allow shows to breathe. «Now, we’re using that time. We’re not sitting idle. So, it’s like it stays in the oven,» Winderbaum said. «You can bake certain things a little more. It’s actually, I think, ultimately, it’s only going to make things better.»
Winderbaum explained that Marvel’s creative strategy has pivoted behind the scenes. «We’re more like a traditional studio now. We’re developing more than we actually will produce,» the exec revealed. Another change that Marvel made was hiring showrunners to manage their Disney+ projects, like traditional TV series. Previously, studio execs were tackling the shows, splitting their focus between the movies and series.
This brand new strategy to slow down is company-wide, affecting both movies and shows. Marvel is pumping the brakes for 2024, only set to debut «Deadpool and Wolverine» theatrically and the «WandaVision» spin-off «Agatha» on Disney+. On the animated front, 2024 will likely see only «X-Men ’97,» which has received positive reactions thus far.

Throughout the Multiverse Saga, MCU fans have had to learn a bunch of new concepts, time travel mechanics, and more. Among these is the idea of a nexus being, which is someone who is immensely powerful and can impact probability, the flow of time, and reality itself. Wanda «Scarlet Witch» Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) — who was once rumored to appear in «Deadpool 3» — and Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) are considered such beings, each of them with a firm grasp on time and reality with the ability to bend them to their will. It stands to reason more nexus beings will be revealed in the coming projects.
So, how does this fit with the latest «Deadpool and Wolverine» speculation? Well, it’s true that the concept of nexus beings sounds similar to the rumor of key beings playing an integral part in the flow of a timeline. Both types of people are tied to their reality and seem to have a strong influence over it. However, it is not confirmed in either of Wanda and Kang’s multiversal exploits that their home timelines have deteriorated due to their absence or apparent demises. The test of time hasn’t been very kind to the rest of «The Crow» franchise in the years since the aforementioned sequels rolled out. 1996’s «The Crow: City of Angels» sports a 14% critical approval rating and a 40% audience consensus score on Rotten Tomatoes. 2000’s «The Crow: Salvation» fared a little better with audiences; 43% of Rotten Tomatoes viewers liked it, and critics gave it an 18% score. «The Crow: Wicked Prayer» provides the franchise with its lowest critical watermark at 0%; audiences responded with a 35% approval score.
All of those splats mean one thing: while the franchises weren’t popular with critics or audiences in a retroactive manner, they still had enough pull at the box office and in video stores to spawn further vengence-centered sequels. «His House» is still very much worth watching, but anyone wanting to see the latest entry in the Rotten Tomatoes 100% club should check out «Late Night With the Devil,» which is set to premiere in U.S. theaters on March 22 and on Shudder on April 19. The movie follows late-night talk show host Jack Delroy (David Dastmalchian), who interviews a young girl who survived a mass suicide event at a Satanic church. When she makes contact with the devil, things go horrifically awry.
It’s a horror film that needs to be seen to be believed, and critics can’t get enough of it. Ross McIndoe of Slant Magazine praised the movie, writing, «By taking the tricks and tropes associated with films about occult goings-on and applies them in the context of a 1970s talk show, Australian writer-directors Cameron and Colin Cairnes have conjured up a horror flick that’s devilishly fun.» Dennis Harvey of Variety largely agrees, praising the unique setting for the new possession film. «The resulting mix of vintage Me Decade showbiz cheese and ‘Exorcist’-y demonic doings is distinctive, not to mention deftly handled by the [Cairnes] as both writers and directors,» he wrote.
It’s always good for a movie to be compared favorably to «The Exorcist,» and it’s all anchored by a bravado performance by Dastmalchian. He’s no stranger to horror with a turn in «The Boogeyman,» which had plenty of skin-crawling moments. And it sounds like «Late Night With the Devil» really gives him a chance to establish himself as a true horror icon.
Since acquiring Marvel and Lucasfilm, Disney has released several films, streaming projects, and theme park attractions, and created multiple merchandise offerings. Disney’s positive financial receipts reflect the revenue generated from titles that have premiered since the purchases. The revenue is directly associated with factors like profits from theatrical and digital releases, as well as consumer products. So, when Disney says that buying Lucasfilm led to $12 billion, this means that they’re lumping in the profit from the $2 billion-grossing «Star Wars: The Force Awakens.»
However, Disney made it clear that the profits from their $8 billion acquisitions don’t include «derivative revenue streams,» such as theme park attractions. Disney has gone all in on Marvel and Star Wars when it comes to their parks. The company notably introduced Galaxy’s Edge and Avengers Campus, two themed areas that feature rides and consumer goods based on Star Wars and Marvel, respectively.
While the company is reeling in profits from both properties, it should be noted that execs are actively retooling strategies. Major changes are coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2024, as the company tones down its offerings; «Deadpool & Wolverine» is the only new movie this year. Pero su fama de taumaturgo no gustaba a sus compañeros de orden, así que fue de vagando de convento en convento a lo largo de su vida. Pasó por diferentes conventos de Bellpuig, Horta de San Juan, Reus y Madrid.
Uno de sus milagros más conocidos es el de la cura de la mudez a una niña que sus padres habían traído desde Castilla. La niña comenzó a hablar al instante… en catalán. Sus padres, castellanos, le dijeron que la niña solo hablaba catalán y tenían que volver a Castilla. Fray Salvador les tranquilizó asegurando que, cuando regresasen a Castilla, hablaría castellano…

«Irish Wish» casts Lindsay Lohan as book editor Maddie Kelly, who you immediately know is a busy, frazzled career woman because she gets her scarf stuck in a car door. Unfortunately for her, she’s in love with one of her authors, Paul Kennedy (Alexander Vlahos). Not only is he oblivious to that fact, but he barely writes his books, leaving the heavy lifting to Maddie (only for him to take all the credit in the end).
Before Maddie can tell Paul how she feels, he hits it off with Maddie’s best friend, Emma Taylor (Elizabeth Taylor), and eventually, Maddie heads to Ireland for the couple’s wedding. After meeting handsome nature photographer James Thomas (Ed Speelers), she makes a wish — one made to some sort of Irish spirit (played by Dawn Bradfield), specifically — that she could be the one marrying Paul Kennedy. The next morning, Maddie wakes up as his fiancée.
Anyone who’s ever seen a romantic comedy knows where this is going. Maddie has next to nothing in common with Paul, but bonds with James over loving James Joyce and the Cliffs of Moher. Emma and Paul, even in this timeline, start falling for each other, while Maddie struggles with her feelings for James. A whole lot of nonsense ensues, but ultimately, Maddie reverses the wish and meets James all over again.
A film as big as «Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire» is a massive undertaking, so it’s understandable that it required much of Adam Wingard’s time and energy. But considering that the «ThunderCats» script is actively being worked on, there’s a good chance cameras could start rolling relatively soon on that project. That said, this all assumes that Wingard doesn’t get sidetracked by another big movie he got himself attached to around the same time as the animated series’ big-screen adaptation.
2021 was also the year when Wingard was linked to the «Face/Off» remake, and he’s honestly the perfect director for that reboot’s blend of action and ridiculousness. Wingard mentioned to io9 that «ThunderCats» is merely «one of the top priorities,» and it sounds like «Face/Off» is the other one that could eat into his schedule. In the interview, he discussed how he and Simon Barrett worked on the remake’s script before passing it off to someone else. «Right now [‘Face/Off’ is] still inactive, so I think the plan with that one will be that writer will continue working, and whenever that draft is done, Simon and I will get it back and we’ll take another crack at it.»
Since Wingard classified «Face/Off» as «inactive» while saying he’s «actively» writing for «ThunderCats,» it would make more sense for the latter to be next on his slate since that sounds like it’s further along. Either way, Wingard is keeping busy, and hopefully his eventual «ThunderCats» movie will please fans. That should be easy to do as long as he avoids the missteps that were made in the R-rated «Thundercats sequel and its unnecessarily explicit «He-Man» crossover.
«Alone» is a lean, mean, stripped-back psychological thriller that tells the story of what happens to Jessica (Jules Willcox) when she’s kidnapped by a devious killer (Marc Menchaca). Jessica ultimately escapes and finds herself navigating through dense wilderness, hoping to evade the man in pursuit. Far from flashy, critics and audiences alike have praised director John Hyams’ realistic and minimalistic approach to the narrative. «Alone» comes in at an easily watchable 98 minutes, making it the perfect thriller to dive into late at night. The Netflix juggernaut is a remake of the 2011 Swedish film «Gone,» which was co-directed and written by Mattias Olsson. He returned as the scriptwriter for «Alone,» adding a layer of authenticity to the acclaimed remake.
The psychological thriller features a limited cast, which lends to the film’s heavy sense of dread, especially in the moments when Jessica is on the run. With so much of the film resting on the performance from Willcox, whose previous credits include «The Big Lebowski»-esque crime comedy «Under the Silver Lake,» it was no doubt a strenuous experience for the star. While speaking with The Movie Waffler, Willcox revealed that she broke her foot early into shooting. «It was actually the first couple days of shooting,» she recalled. «It came up like, do we keep going or do we stop? And John was really amazing, he really let it be my decision whether or not we keep going,» Willcox shared.
If «Alone» is too disturbing for some viewers, there are some other underappreciated gems on Netflix that might be more to their taste.
Timothée Chalamet proved with «Wonka» he has a solid voice, but Bob Dylan is known for having such a unique and idiosyncratic sound. He’s certainly no Willy Wonka, but there may be reason for Dylan fans to hold out hope. While speaking with GQ, Chalamet discussed working with vocal coach Eric Vetro, who also collaborated with Chalamet’s «Dune: Part Two» co-star Austin Butler for «Elvis.» «I just saw the way [Butler] committed to it all — and realized I needed to step it up,» he explained.
In that same GQ piece, Vetro praised everything Chalamet has done to prepare for the role. And it sounds like audiences will be in for something special when «A Complete Unknown» comes out: «It’s taking on all the characteristics of Dylan’s voice and his mannerisms and his speech patterns, and bringing that into the music — so that when you hear Timothée do the music, what you’re really getting is the essence of Bob Dylan. You’re not getting an impersonation of him.»
Chalamet has also prepped for the part by checking out Dylan’s old stomping grounds, Hibbing High School. The institution posted about the visit on Facebook and referred to Chalamet as «a total gem.» It’s clear the actor’s putting in a ton of work to get this part just right, and if done well, it could easily rank among Chalamet’s best performances.

Of course, it’s no secret that the introduction into Zack Snyder’s brave new world of CGI wasn’t thought of too fondly when it hit Netflix in December 2023. Sitting with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 21%, «Rebel Moon: A Child of Fire» wasn’t a crowd or critical favorite. Sadly, viewers grew even more frustrated when Zack Snyder followed the backlash by teasing a «Rebel Moon» director’s cut that seemingly expanded the (already fairly long) story. Is it worth waiting on a «Part Two» when a longer version of the first film will drop after it?
With that in mind, might «Rebel Moon: The Scargiver» patch things up and close Snyder’s massive space-based action fest on a high note? Looking at the lightsab…uh, I mean, laser sword-focused fight scenes, and Anthony Hopkins’ armored alter ego, this film might have a shot at performing well. We’ll have to see when the film hits Netflix on April 19.
We don’t need to waste any time theorizing about what Zack Snyder’s version of the cantina scene would be, because he’s already shown us. «Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire» features a spaceport bar scene ripped straight from George Lucas’ playbook, but with all the edgy layers that Snyder seems to adore. The stand-in for «Walrus Man» does indeed solicit farm boy Gunnar (Michiel Huisman) for sex, and when he doesn’t get his way, a full-blown firefight breaks out.
It’s certainly less kid-friendly than Star Wars, but that doesn’t mean it’s more complex or self-reflective. Snyder talks in the same interview about the way his «Heavy Metal» stylings allow him to «deconstruct» science fiction, but what does he mean by that? «It kind of broke me for comics for a while because it was always super sexy and super violent,» Snyder told Rogan about reading «Heavy Metal» as a kid. «You’d get a normal comic and be like, ‘Uh, when are they going to start f***ing?’»
Star Wars is designed with kids in mind. That’s always been true. But making a story more gritty doesn’t inherently make it more complex. Lucas pulled from old sci-fi adventure serials, and Snyder pulls from «Heavy Metal» — both pulpy genre exhibitions that are at times more interested in aesthetics than exploring deeper themes. Snyder has always been a visually oriented filmmaker, but he’s not so much deconstructing the sci-fi genre as he is upholding a different one.
The Hollywood Reporter article also states that «Moana» was changed to «Vaiana» in Spain and other European countries to avoid legal troubles with a brand of the same name. The report notes that it isn’t uncommon for Disney to rebrand its movies differently for other territories, and the studio does this for various reasons. For example, «Frozen» was rechristened as «The Snow Queen» and «Frost» in certain regions.
Of course, the process might happen all over again as «Moana» is about to get its own Disney live-action remake. Unfortunately, Auli’i Cravalho won’t reprise the titular role in the «Moana» redo, but Dwayne Johnson is still on board. That isn’t the only project on the horizon either, as «Moana 2» — a sequel to the animated film — is also in the works. That one will see Moana and Maui embark on a new adventure, but details about the project are being kept under wraps for now.

In «First Contact,» the suggestiveness of the Borg Queen’s interactions with Brent Spiner’s iconic Starfleet android ranges from less-than-subtle to borderline «50 Shades of Data.» It’s pretty clear from the beginning that she’s working him. When he tells the Borg Queen he questions her motives, she leans in seductively, telling him, «That is because you haven’t been properly … stimulated yet.» Suddenly overcome by a wave of strong sensation, Data gasps, «You have … reactivated my emotion chip.» When the he realizes Queenie has been grafting human skin on his arm, she blows on it, causing him to gasp in delight. «Was that good for you?» she asks.
And according to the Borg Queen herself, she’s not just playing Data with a promise of IRL cybersex — she genuinely likes him. As Alice Krige explained in Mark A. Altman’s «The Fifty-Year Mission: The Next 25 Years,» one whiff of Data’s positronic pleasure machine and the Queen is hot to smash circuits. «Really what the Queen meets in Data is an intelligence as formidable as her own,» Krige emphasized. «She’s fascinated by it and she knows that Data’s Achilles heel is his desire to be human.» This makes sense since his desire to be more human is central to Data’s backstory.
The Queen «reels him in with a taste of human sexuality,» and it works. By the time Picard shows up, Data seems completely Borg-whipped. But Krige says it’s the Borg Queen who can’t get enough. As Krige put it, the Queen «gets hoisted on her own petard because she kind of gets fascinated by him. And lets her guard down in the process.» Alas, all’s fair in love and Borg.

Si ves que tu nombre de usuario no está en la lista, debes agregarlo manualmente y luego cambiar sus permisos.
Solucionar Acceso denegado configurando una cuenta de administrador
Para que este tipo de problemas se resuelvan, lo mejor es poseer una cuenta de administrador en ese ordenador, ya que así es más que probable que puedas entrar en dicho fichero o carpeta.
Para ser administrador y así solucionar el problema del Acceso, denegado:
Presiona Win + R y así entra en Ejecutar.
Escribe escriba control userpasswords2 y haga clic en Aceptar.
En la ventana Cuentas de usuario marca la casilla junto a Los usuarios deben ingresar un nombre de usuario y contraseña para usar este ordenador
Seleccione su cuenta y haga clic en Propiedades debajo de ella.
Después vete a la pestaña Membresía de grupo.
Seguidamente, elige Administrador en el menú, para luego hacer clic en Aplicar y Aceptar.
Ahora es el momento de reiniciar el ordenador y ver si se ha resuelto el problema.
Ejecutar CHKSDK para solucionar el Acceso denegado
Otra opción que puedes llevar a cabo para solucionar el Acceso denegado es la de utilizar el comando CHKDSK (Check Disk) para que identifique posibles errores en el disco y solucione los que pudieran estar desarrollando el problema.
Para pasar este comando e intentar solucionar el letrero de Acceso denegado, debes realizar lo siguiente:
Pulsa Win + R simultáneamente y escribe CMD.
Después de eso, una vez dentro del Símbolo de sistema, ejecutar CHKDSK X: (X: es el disco duro donde existe el problema)
Pulsa Enter para ejecutarlo.
Cuando termine, escribe Exit y reinicia el ordenador.
Recuperar el cargador de arranque para solucionar el Acceso denegado
Para recuperar el cargador de arranque, lo primero es crear un disco de arranque de Windows. A partir he ahí ya podrás solucionar el Acceso denegado.
Los pasos para conseguir solucionar este error de Windows 11, donde te pone Acceso denegado, van a ser los siguientes:
Debes iniciar Windows desde el disco de instalación de Windows 11 (puedes ver cómo se hace en el vídeo que está justo debajo del título de este apartado) y pulsa cualquier tecla para continuar.
Ahora vete hasta Reparar el equipo > Solucionar problemas >Opciones avanzadas >Símbolo del sistema.
Ahora escribe diskpart en el símbolo del sistema y después pon lo siguiente:
list disk
select disk 0 (0 es la unidad de arranque)
list volume (es la partición EFI)
• select volume 4
assign letter=N
exit
Entonces escribe N, que es la misma letra que acabas de asignar, y presiona Enter.
Ahora formatear la partición EFI poniendoi el comando: format N: /FS:FAT32
Para solucionar el error se puede habilitar una cuenta de administrador oculta
El sistema operativo Windows 11 tiene la capacidad de operar con una cuenta de administrador oculta con más privilegios de los normales.
Podrás habilitar estas facultades para comprobar si el error de Acceso denegado a un fichero o carpeta se puede solucionar:
Abre la búsqueda de Windows con Win + S.
Ahora escriba CMD.
Haz clic con el botón derecho en Símbolo del sistema y selecciona Ejecutar como administrador.
Escribe el siguiente comando: net user administrator /active:yes
Pulsa Enter.
Cierre sesión en la cuenta actual y cambia a la cuenta de Administrador que acabas de habilitar.
Cuando hayas terminado, cierra la sesión y vuelve con tu cuenta principal, volviendo al Símbolo de sistema como administrador y poniendo este comando: net user administrator /active:no
Tomar posesión del archivo con Acceso denegado de Windows 11
Los problemas de propiedad pueden ser los causantes del letrero Acceso degenerado, por lo que podrás solucionarlo al tomar el control de un archivo.
Lo vas a poder realizar de la siguiente manera:
Haz clic derecho en la carpeta o archivo que deseas acceder y entra en Propiedades.
Vete a la pestaña Seguridad y haz clic en el botón Avanzado.
Busca la sección Propietario en la parte superior de la ventana y haz clic en Cambiar.
Ahora en Seleccionar usuario o grupo, debes escribir tu nombre de usuario. En Administradores pon el nombre del objeto.
Pulsa en Comprobar nombres y Aceptar.
Después pulsa en Aplicar y verás un mensaje de seguridad de Windows para volver a Aceptar y en la siguiente ventana otra vez en Aceptar.
Cambiar la propiedad de la carpeta donde esté el archivo
Si el Acceso denegado es en una carpeta, siempre puedes modificar su propiedad para intentar de esa manera recuperar el control sobre ella y los archivos que contiene.
Los pasos para cambiar la propiedad de una carpeta y evitar el letrero de Acceso denegado son los siguientes:
Pulsa encima de la carpeta con el botón derecho y selecciona Propiedades.
Ahora vete a opción Cambiar.
Introduce tu cuenta de usuario o la que quieras para conceder la propiedad donde pone Nombre de objeto.
Luego pulsa en Comprobar nombres, y luego, en Aceptar.
Marca la casilla Reemplazar todas las entradas de permisos de objetos secundarios con entradas de permisos heredables de este objeto y de clic en Aceptar.
Deshabilitar la protección antivirus para solucionar el Acceso denegado
Otra de las soluciones que tienes en tu mano es la de deshabilitar el software antivirus de terceros que haya en tu ordenador.
Este puede ser el causante del letrero Acceso denegado, ya que puede que haya habido algún tipo de problemática por la que considera ese archivo o carpeta como maliciosas o con peligro.
Si haciendo esto funciona, lo mejor será entres de nuevo en el antivirus y darle total confianza al fichero o carpeta para que el antivirus los considere como no peligrosos y nos los vuelva a cortar.
Solucionar el problema mediante la reparación de inicio
Para esta solución debes volver a ejecutar Windows desde el disco de arranque que tengas, puesto que vas a volver a entrar en las Opciones avanzadas.
Una vez hecho, para solucionar el problema del Acceso denegado, realiza lo siguiente:
Una vez dentro de las Opciones avanzadas, vete a Reparar el equipo > Solucionar problemas > Opciones avanzadas > Reparación del inicio.
Ahora debes estar atento a cuando termine la reparación automática y después seguir las instrucciones que te van indicando.
Utilizar software de terceros
Cómo última solución antes de llevar el ordenador a un servicio técnico, es utilizar alguna herramienta de terceros que pueda intentar solventar el problema.
Una de las más completas es AOMEI Partititon Assistant, un software de pago cuyo coste ene el momento de escribir este artículo estaba en 39,99 euros al año más impuestos o un pago único de 59,99 euros más impuesto, quedando el programa de por vida para el usuario.
Lo primero que vas a hacer con el programa es crear su propio sistema de arranque de la siguiente manera:
Una vez instalado, ejecuta AOMEI Partition Assistant e inserta una unidad USB.
Pulsa en Herramientas > Crear un CD de arranque, para luego dar en Siguiente para continuar.
Haz clic en Dispositivo de arranque USB y luego pulsa en Proceder.
Ahora verás un recordatorio de que la unidad USB debe formatearse y se perderán todos los datos que contenga.
Una vez terminado ya tendrás la el USB de arranque.
Ahora inicia con la unidad de arranque el ordenador que quieres arreglar. Verás que entras AOMEI Partition Assistant en Windows PE.
Verifica los errores del disco duro pulsando en la función Prueba de superficie.
Después pulsa en Reconstruir el MBR para reparar el problema del cargador de arranque.
Solo queda que reinicies el ordenador y verifiques que el problema ha desaparecido.
Con todos los métodos que acabas de leer, seguro que has sido capaz de solucionar el problema del Acceso denegado a un archivo o una carpeta.
