A viral video featuring a baby hamster resembling a domestic cat that lives in the same house has pushed people to consider the possibility of the latter getting the mother hamster pregnant.
It seems users are determined to prove that the two species can breed thanks to the adorable “Camster” or “Hat” babies that are too cute to handle. As much as we enjoy watching the little furry babies, the theory that cats can get hamsters pregnant needs to be put to rest.

A lot of TikTok users are asking – can a cat get a hamster pregnant? The answer is no.
Some may dismiss the question as illogical, but we believe the viral video of the much-talked-about baby hamsters may change your opinion.
The TikTok account @fiestyrachet documents the birth of a litter that belongs to the content creator’s hamster, which lives with a domestic cat.
The baby hamsters looked like gummy bears at first, but their fur started to develop colors and texture in no time, and much to our disbelief, two of the baby hamsters ended up looking just like the cat!
The owner of both animals also claims the male hamster never came “close” to the female hamster, thus implying that the former can’t be the father of the babies.
The initial video featuring the baby hamster with a coat similar to the cat came with a caption that implies the two animals could have possibly mated.

The two hamsters resembling the cat more than their mother or actual father may have carried genes different than their siblings to look unique. But, the justification offered by some users that cats and hamsters can reproduce is simply ridiculous.
Moreover, a few have added to the confusion by sharing screenshots of responses from websites like Quora and Reddit, where unverified sources have made wild claims about the two animals producing babies together.
The misconception stems from the caption for the viral video which states: “Is there anything in scientific literature that says a hamster and cat can have babies? She gave birth to a baby that looks just like my cat!”
There is no evidence that cats and hamsters have bred with creatures outside their species for one to believe the above speculations to be true.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an immensely popular franchise, but that doesn’t mean every movie is a winner. When «Eternals» came out, it was met with poor reviews from critics, leaving the film with a 47% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Kumail Nanjiani, who portrayed the Eternal known as Kingo, revealed in an interview with the podcast «Inside of You» that the reviews led him to start therapy.
While the actor thought the movie could open up a lot of doors for him because of the director and actors attached, the less than stellar reviews were «very. very tough» on him. «The reviews were bad, and I was too aware of it,» Nanjiani shared. «I was reading every review and checking too much.» Nanjiani started to go to therapy as a result, because he felt that it was taking a toll on both him and his wife to be so wrapped up in his work that way.
Nanjiani was incredibly excited to do the movie and for everyone to see it, but let himself get tied up with what everyone was saying about it. «I go [to therapy] basically every week,» the actor added, admitting that he still discusses how «Eternals» impacted him with his therapist, but has since figured out that he had to stop worrying about the public or critical response. Going to therapy helped him remember that he «can’t control what people are gonna think of it.»
Paul, you were incredibly frightening as the Riddler in «The Batman,» and I’m wondering, Adam, does a performance like Paul’s in the film inspire you to say, «You know what, I think I might be interested in playing a role like this» — either being a superhero or a supervillain and Paul, have you encouraged him to do as such?

Let’s just turn the volume down on Adam Sandler a little bit.» When you watch «Uncut Gems» and you watch «Spaceman,» you see it’s real work. This argument continues to inspire online discussion years after it first hit the internet. In fact, Ahmed Best himself has touched on the theory in multiple interviews. While he doesn’t think Disney will ever canonize Darth Jar Jar, he hinted that there were once greater plans for his character, lending some credence to the theory without quite confirming specifics.
If the machinations behind the MPA seem kind of arbitrary, they are to an extent. The rule of PG-13 movies being granted one F-bomb isn’t a hard and fast rule, as there have been numerous films over the years that have gotten away with quite a bit.
For example, «The Social Network,» the PG-13 movie about the founding of Facebook, contains two instances of the F-word. More than likely, the MPA saw fit to still give the movie a PG-13 rating because its inclusion is still spread pretty thin (and it’s not like there’s excessive violence or nudity). Additionally, documentaries seem to get greater leeway when it comes to how many F-bombs they can drop. The 2004 movie «Gunner Palace» has 42 instances of the profanity despite being PG-13. The same can be said for 2011’s «Bully,» which has three uses. The assumption would be since there’s a greater element of realism in a documentary, people can say the word more often.
Ultimately, the MPA designates ratings as it sees fit, so it determines whether multiple F-bombs are allowed in a PG-13 movie given additional context. In some cases, just one F-bomb is enough to bump a movie to an R rating if it’s said in relation to sexual activity. But the generally accepted rule is that a PG-13 movie can use it once. Honestly, some films have made the most of it, like Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) saying, «Go f*** yourself» in «X-Men: First Class.» When it comes to swear words, sometimes less is more.

It is not only Christmas that people will be getting excited about this week. Along with the first days of our advent calendars, we will soon be able to open Spotify Wrapped 2023.
The streaming service has been showing us – and others – our most-listened to artists for seven years now. For some, their genre choice is clear. For others, there can be an even balance between rock, show tunes, and dance music.
Spotify shows just how eclectic our music choices can be, and Wrapped can be a nostalgic affair for those who have been through a lot in the previous 12 months. Well, 10 of the 12, to be precise, because Wrapped actually stops tracking on October 31st of the year in question.

As reported by Pop Buzz, Spotify will stop tracking on October 31. Every year the counting period for the wrap is from January 1st to October 31st.
As of now, Spotify has never revealed how it counts the data. Nonetheless, people have been happy with their results all these years. Things are no different this year as people are waiting eagerly for their wraps to be released.
From personal experience, Wrapped always gets it spot-on. Those songs we just have to listen to every day or always at the top. Whereas some that hit hard during particularly important parts of the previous year often get a well-deserved place on the list.

Ryan O’Neal began acting in the 1960s after an amateur boxing career, and he spent his career appearing in many high-profile movies. He’s probably best known for his work in «Love Story,» «Paper Moon,» and «Barry Lyndon,» but that’s a small sample of his work. As the 2000s came, the work O’Neal was doing became more limited, with his most recent major role being in «Bones,» where he played Max Keenan for 24 episodes. O’Neal received a leukemia diagnosis in 2001, and while he overcame that disease, a diagnosis of stage four prostate cancer nearly took him out in 2012. Through his health struggles, he remained by his wife’s side, though Farrah Fawcett died from anal cancer in 2009. Ultimately, O’Neal died of congestive heart failure on December 8, 2023, at the age of 82.

Desde hace siglos, el hombre ha soñado con tener la posibilidad no solo de visitar otros mundos, sino también de lograr asentarse en ellos. Algo que, según señala la propia ciencia, podría estar más cerca que nunca. Las noticias sobre planetas habitables o los planes de algunos para afianzarse en sitios como Marte o la Luna están ahí, por ambicioso que resulte.
Por lo general, estos desafíos técnicos suelen relacionarse con retos específicos, tanto que a veces se olvidan cosas más mundanas. Mundanas, sí, pero al fin y al cabo determinantes. Por ejemplo, si el ser humano colonizara la Luna o Marte, o cualquier otro planeta, ¿qué idioma se hablaría allí?
Babel en el espacio
La respuesta lógica, por supuesto, sería pensar que cada país continuaría hablando su idioma allá donde fuese. Es decir, que se si se tratara de una colonia fundada por norteamericanos, el inglés sería la lengua habitual, o lo mismo en el caso de los chinos, que utilizarían su lengua habitual (o una de ellas, vaya). Pero algunos estudios han decidido profundizar en el tema.
A juzgar por estos, y por lo que en ocasiones dicta la razón, en este caso concreto aplicándola a la historia de lo sucedido en nuestro propio planeta, quizá no fuese todo tan sencillo. Según señalan trabajos como el llevado a cabo por la Universidad Ludwing-Maximilians alemana, es muy probable que la gente de otro planeta terminara creando su propio idioma.
Bueno, quizá un idioma como tal, nunca se sabe, pero desde luego sí acentos, palabras y términos propios. Algo similar a lo que tal vez en la Tierra ha sucedido entre españoles y sudamericanos o ingleses y estadounidenses, por poner solamente dos ejemplos. La situación geográfica, más allá de las raíces y el punto de procedencia, influye en la fonética y en el lenguaje.
Por supuesto, para que esto sucediese tendría que transcurrir mucho tiempo, no tratarse de un viaje corto, por así decirlo. Algo que, por ejemplo, tratándose de Marte, no sería negociable, dadas las enormes distancias que unos futuros colonos marcianos tendrían que afrontar, probablemente sin posibilidad de retorno a la Tierra.
Idiomas en el espacio
El caso de la Luna, claro, sería diferente. Comparándose con Marte, el satélite está prácticamente en el jardín trasero. Para los habitantes de la Luna (o los colonos, si se prefieren llamar así) resultaría muchísimo más sencillo ir y venir, tal y como ya han demostrado muchas misiones, empezando por las Apolo.
Lo cual no quita que, de quedarse mucho tiempo allí, tal vez también podría desarrollarse un acento propiamente “lunar”, que se fuese forjando con el paso de las décadas. No hay que olvidar, además, todo lo que la inteligencia artificial aportará a los idiomas y a la unificación de los mismos, si bien todavía existen motivos, a pesar de ellos, para estudiar otra lengua.
En definitiva, es imposible saber qué idioma se hablaría en la Luna o en Marte tiempo después de que el hombre se estableciera definitivamente allí, si lo hace. Pero lo que es casi seguro es que no serían lenguajes como los terrestres. Al menos, no del todo.
El manga BL (por Boys Love) es un género que cada vez cobra más fuerza debido a sus características únicas, mismas que han logrado atraer a personas de distintas generaciones. A continuación vamos a hablar un poco de dichas características del manga bl y por qué es tan popular.
El género se distingue por presentar relaciones más que amistosas entre personajes identificados como hombres, cuyos primeros rasgos aparecieron en los años ’70 con revistas como JUNE, que comenzó a distinguirse por presentar hombres con rasgos estéticos en medio de un contenido refinado que incluía secciones dedicadas al arte, la literatura y el cine. Suele tocar temas como la comunicación y el consentimiento de manera comprensible y amistosa para el lector. Considerando esto nos será fácil entender por qué razón la estética aplicada en este género de manga es muy peculiar, con artes que enfatizan en el atractivo físico pero también en el detalle y la expresividad de las reacciones.
Aunque a menudo se piensa que el Boys Love está dirigido al público femenino, la verdad es que ha logrado instalarse en distintas demografías y comunidades a nivel internacional. Sus lectores incluyen a personas de distintas edades que forman comunidades sumamente participativas.

Esta técnica, abreviada como PWM, se presenta como una herramienta clave en el control del brillo de las pantallas, proporcionando una adaptabilidad crucial en diferentes condiciones lumínicas y entornos de uso. Sin embargo, ¿qué es realmente PWM? ¿Cómo funciona y de qué forma busca mejorar nuestra salud visual?
¿Qué es PWM?
PWM es la abreviatura de Pulse Width Modulation, o modulación de ancho de pulsos en español. Esta técnica es muy importante en el control del brillo de las pantallas de dispositivos electrónicos, especialmente en móviles.
Imagina que estás encendiendo y apagando continuamente una bombilla en una habitación. Cuanto más tiempo permanezca la luz, mayor será la luminosidad de la habitación. Cuanto más tiempo esté apagado, más oscuras serán las condiciones. De todos modos, el parpadeo continuo causará molestias si se nota.
Así es como funciona la modulación por ancho de pulso. Es una técnica de atenuación que permite controlar o modular el brillo de la luz, en este caso en las pantallas. La tecnología implica encender y apagar rápidamente la luz a una frecuencia específica, lo que crea una ilusión de varios niveles de brillo.

El «pulso» aquí se refiere al encendido y apagado rápido de la fuente de luz. El «ancho» se refiere al período de tiempo durante el cual la luz está en estado «encendido» en cada ciclo (por segundo). Por ejemplo, si una señal PWM tiene una frecuencia de 200 Hz, significa que se producen 200 ciclos de encendido y apagado cada segundo.

¿Cómo funciona la atenuación PWM? ¿Cómo pasa desapercibida?
Un punto importante es que este proceso ocurre a una frecuencia imperceptible para el ojo humano. Aunque los píxeles se encienden y apagan rápidamente, los ojos no captan este movimiento, lo que garantiza una experiencia que no sea extraña.
Por lo general, tus ojos no pueden percibir el parpadeo de la luz en los smartphones, pero eso no significa que no te afecten. Si la luz se enciende y apaga a frecuencias muy altas —normalmente más de 200 Hz—, no podrás notarlo, pero puede causar dolores de cabeza y convulsiones en casos raros a las personas con fotosensibilidad.
Es por eso que la atenuación PWM se vuelve clave. Cuando el brillo es bajo —si lo usas en una habitación oscura, por ejemplo— es posible que veas un parpadeo en la pantalla si la atenuación PWM no funciona correctamente. Cualquier tipo de alteración en esta también provoca fatiga ocular.
¿Por qué es tan relevante esta tecnología?
Principalmente, se vincula a la salud visual. Esta técnica se ha vuelto cada vez más relevante debido a su papel en el control del brillo de las pantallas y la búsqueda de un equilibrio entre la calidad visual y el bienestar del usuario.
Aparte de esto, su importancia también se relaciona con la evolución de la tecnología de visualización en móviles. Con la tendencia hacia pantallas más avanzadas, como las OLED, donde cada píxel se controla individualmente, la aplicación precisa de la modulación de ancho de pulso se vuelve aún más importante para garantizar una experiencia visual perfecta.
Sin embargo, parece que la solución es un poco complicada. La mayoría de los fabricantes se aseguran de mantener el mínimo indispensable para que los usuarios no experimenten parpadeos en la pantalla, pero un rango bajo aún puede provocar dolores de cabeza u otros problemas relacionados con los ojos.
Por supuesto, si el smartphone ofrece una atenuación PWM mucho mayor, es mejor, o es seguro decir que no hay ningún daño en general.

Where these characters are, Sinestro is almost sure to follow. No casting for the show has been made public, leaving a spot wide open for a new actor to play the antagonist.
Perhaps one of the bigger obstacles in the path of Evans becoming Sinestro is the question of whether or not the actor himself would be interested in the role. While he’s been a part of some major franchises in his career, Evans has never appeared in a superhero movie. His closest role to date is his performance as Wonder Woman creator William Moulton Marston in the 2017 biopic, «Professor Marston and the Wonder Women.»
Ultimately, it remains to be seen whether Evans has any chance of becoming the DC Universe’s Sinestro. One thing is for sure, though — if he does take on the role, he’ll certainly be able to look the part.
Fans may not agree about everything regarding Disney’s many changes to the Star Wars universe, but it’s hard to argue against BB-8 being the best name for the sequel trilogy’s lovable flagship droid. Even without J.J. Abrams’ explanation, it’s easy to draw clear comparisons between BB-8’s design and a soccer ball, adding to the character’s widespread appeal. But believe it or not, the seemingly perfect name was not his initial title.
In a 2018 interview with Endor Express, creature design and effects veteran Neal Scanlan talked about his extensive work on «Star Wars: The Force Awakens» and «Star Wars: The Last Jedi.» When asked how soon he and his team conjure up names for their imaginative creations, he shared that they are initially more concerned with nailing down the personalities and designs. This was the case for BB-8, who had a surprisingly simple name at first. «BB-8, for instance, started out as Snow Girl or Globe at one time — there were four or five names for BB-8,» Scanlan said. «BB-8 didn’t come until VERY, very late, and that’s probably for very good reasons as he’s such an important character.»
It’s unlikely that a name like Snow Girl would do the droid much justice, perhaps hurting its chances of becoming a fan favorite. Let’s be glad that the Force was with J.J. Abrams and company, and they made the change.

The fact that «Star Wars» gated away a major reveal for the sequel trilogy of films in «Fortnite» of all things is a pretty odd choice on its face. Indeed, many «Star Wars» fans aren’t particularly happy with how the context of Palpatine’s return mostly hinges on a limited-time video game event, with some like u/InfamousIndecision characterizing it as little more than a marketing stunt. However, the story of how Palpatine’s broadcast became relegated to «Fortnite» may be a little more complicated than it initially seems.
According to a 2020 tweet from Rae Carson, the author of the official «Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker» novelization, Palpatine’s intergalactic message was not created exclusively for the «Fortnite» event. Per her explanation, the plot point was conceived by an undisclosed individual involved with the «Star Wars» franchise. It was then subsequently used by multiple parties, including «Fortnite» and Carson herself. Indeed, the message actually does feature in the film’s novelization.
Carson’s explanation suggests that Palpatine’s message being exclusive to «Fortnite» may not have always been the plan. It’s already been well-established that a number of scenes involving context around Palpatine’s return were cut from the theatrical release of «Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,» as confirmed by editor Maryann Brandon in an interview with HuffPost. As such, it’s entirely possible that the broadcast was originally planned to feature properly in the movie before winding up on the chopping block.
Without official confirmation, it’s hard to say how exactly Palpatine’s broadcast stayed as a «Fortnite»-exclusive snippet of context for so long. Whatever the case, it doesn’t change the fact that the final movie in the Skywalker saga primarily relies on an expired game event for its opening crawl to make sense.
It’s as baffling as a first round with Psycho Mantis as to why the «Metal Gear Solid» film has been stuck in development hell. The video game series practically bubbles with so much cinematic scope, with entries feeling like a mish-mash of «Escape from New York» and a 007 movie. Nevertheless, an adaptation that’s been in the works may have taken another hit following the news from Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman that Oscar Isaac abandoned plans to lead the «Metal Gear Solid» movie he’d been attached to since 2020. Unfortunately, in the four years since, no progression appears to have been made which made it understandable why he parted ways.
Factoring this in, there is no telling whether Ackles’ name could find a place on the potential replacement list. For the past few years, Ackles’ presence has risen following his lengthy stint in «Supernatural» and then getting a great jolt in «The Boys» as Soldier Boy. That role saw him as a war-torn «hero» with traits that could easily fall into Snake’s signature characteristics of a bitter product of war. Who knows? With Isaac stepping away and Vogt-Roberts presumably trying to turn the gears again, Ackles might be another fan casting that actually becomes a reality.
In an interview with «Star Wars 100 Interviews,» Femi Taylor recalled her experience working on «Return of the Jedi.» The topic of her wardrobe malfunction came up, and the actress was more than happy to discuss it. Taylor has no regrets about wearing the revealing clothing that led to the mishap, noting that it was important to her character.
«[The outfit] was very skimpy, but I think it worked ‘cause I think you needed it for that character and her background,» Taylor said. «It needed [to be reflected] in her costume, and I think the costume’s wonderful.»

This attention to detail makes one wonder how the mistake made it into «Return of the Jedi» at all, and it will forever remain one of the galaxy’s greatest mysteries.

Hablamos del ahorro de memoria, mediante la cual el navegador, de forma automática, duerme ciertas pestañas que hace tiempo que no interactúas con ellas, para poderlas recuperar después a un solo clic.
Se trata de una característica que está desactivada por defecto, pero que puedes activar,en cualquier momento desde las opciones de rendimiento de tu navegador Chrome.
La tengas activada o desactivada, lo cierto es que puedes tener abiertas distintas pestañas en Chrome y, si pasas el cursor sobre las mismas, te aparece el uso de memoria que hace esa pestaña del sistema para que lo tengas en cuenta.
Esto puede resultar molesto para ciertos usuarios que no quieran contar con tanta información a la hora de pasar el puntero del ratón sobre las pestañas abiertas.
Por suerte, en la última versión Canary de Google Chrome, Google ya nos va a dejar desactivar la información sobre el uso de memoria cuando pasemos el cursor del ratón sobre las pestañas que tengamos abiertas.
Así que una vez que llegue esta función a versión estable, simplemente debes irte a las opciones de configuración de tu navegador Chrome, luego a la izquierda seleccionar la opción de “aspecto”, y justo donde pone lo de “mostrar imágenes de las tarjetas de vista previa al colocar el cursor sobre una pantalla”, tendrías la nueva opción que permite deshabilitar la información sobre la memoria en uso.
De esta forma haremos que la interfaz del navegador de Google Chrome sea mucho más limpia, aunque sería conveniente que dejaras esta información por si en algún momento ves que tu ordenador vaya lento, y sepas la pestaña culpable.
