Grammy Nominations 2023: The Complete List

    [ad_1]

Ahead of the 65th Grammys, the Recording Academy has announced 2023’s nominees, none of whom stand to win more awards than Beyoncé, with nine nominations. That includes the Record, Album and Song of the Year trifecta (for “BREAK MY SOUL,” RENAISSANCE and “BREAK MY SOUL”, respectively), as well as nods in the Dance/Electronic and R&B categories. She now ties her husband and collaborator Jay-Z for the most nominations received by an artists in Grammys history, with 88.

Close on Beyoncé’s heels this year are Kendrick Lamar, who racked up eight nominations—five of which were for his May 2022 one-off “The Heart Part 5”—as well as Brandi Carlile and Adele, with seven each. Harry Styles, Mary J. Blige and Future each received six, followed by Lizzo and Doja Cat with five, Steve Lacy, Taylor Swift and ABBA with four, and TURNSTILE (!) and Bad Bunny with three. Wet Leg received four nominations, as well, including Best New Artist.

Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. led the nomination announcement, livestreamed from the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles Tuesday. He was joined by presenters Jimmie Allen, CBS Mornings anchors Nate Burleson and Gayle King, Luis Fonsi, Ledisi, John Legend, a notably inarticulate Machine Gun Kelly, Smokey Robinson and Olivia Rodrigo, with performances by Dan + Shay and Cyndi Lauper. (You can watch the livestream down below, if you’re, I don’t know, against reading.)

Five new categories have been introduced this year, including Songwriter Of The Year (Non-Classical) and Best Score Soundtrack For Video Games And Other Interactive Media, as well as a new Special Merit Award for Best Song For Social Change.

The 65th Grammy Awards are set for Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, from L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena, airing live on CBS, and streaming live and on demand on Paramount+.

See the complete list of this year’s nominees below, beneath the announcement livestream.
