Jennifer Love Hewitt, an American actress and singer well known for starring in Party of Five, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Ghost Whisperer, and Disney Channel’s Kids Incorporated, recently took to Instagram to show off her new look.
In a video posted by her hairdresser @thehairdoll, the talented actress goes from having long blonde locks to a short red bob-style haircut when the camera cuts to the end result.
With over 1.4 million followers on the popular platform, Hewitt’s new style soon sparked a buzz on social media and she sure has shocked many of her fans.
Along with the comment section being filled with compliments, some fans are completely shocked with the launch of the new look and some even suggest that her facial appearance has changed along with her hairstyle.
Fans debate if the actress has had plastic surgery
Many comments on the Instagram post suggest that the star is now unrecognizable, an individual named @leemarie8250 asked:
“Where is Jennifer? That looks nothing like her.”
A debate has also begun over on Twitter. @CallMeMissRoss shared a screenshot of Jennifer Love Hewitt’s recent transformation and suggested that she may have had cosmetic surgery.
However, the user also slightly complimented the actress in her comment by stating “she looks great, but she also looks generic and has lost her character.”
@DHCmedia22 shared a GIF file showing a clip of Jennifer Love Hewitt acting and asked if she has had “plastic surgery” before suggesting that she looks very different.

Born on 21 February 1979 in Waco, Texas, the celebrity is currently 44 years old and many people believe age is simply the answer to her alleged change in appearance.
A Twitter user named @CopperSiren responded to the GIF of the star and claimed that the clip is taken from a 2012 television show:
“Pretty sure this is from “The Client List”. So it’s about 13 yrs old.”
Another individual agreed, @yungtakoyaki commented suggesting that the clip is simply just showing a younger version of the celebrity:
“This is from a 12-year-old TV show, fam. She was early 30s here.”
@trufflesrheaven also suggested that the reason for her difference in appearance is due to her age:
“No. It’s called age.”
A fan named @tinch10734 argued that the star has not had surgery in their comment:
“No surgery, Jennifer has been overendowed since her teen movie days.”
@boston_sp0rts20 shared their confused opinion, indicating that the actress looks no different:
“I don’t get it she basically looks the same.”
@richyrich323 disagreed with the surgery statement and suggested that her appearance only looks different due to a filter used on social media that has supposedly edited her face:
