Meaning of 12 listening personalities on Spotify Wrapped 2023
Based on your music streaming behavior on Spotify in 2023, the yearly recap assigns one unique listening personality or character to each user in the form of a tarot-looking card.
There are a total of 12 listening personalities that celebrate “realness” by highlighting music habits that were true to yourself. Below is the meaning of each listening character.
- Vampire – You like to listen to emotional and atmospheric music. The characteristic is associated with “darkness”.
- Alchemist – When you have the ability to create your own playlist then most.
- Time Traveler – You like to travel back in time and listen to songs on a loop.
- Cyclops – When you are dedicated to just one genre.
- Luminary – Those whose playlist is filled with upbeat songs. This makes the perfect party music.
- Mastermind – Unlike Cyclops, you like to explore a wide range of genres.
- Roboticist – You just hit play and let the app’s algorithm do its magic to create a playlist that suits your taste.
- Shapeshifter – When you’re loyal to one artist and then move to another. What some think is erratic is described as “eclectic” by Spotify.
- Collector – The one with commendable taste in music and always makes their own playlists.
- Hunter – You skip tracks more than other listeners in the quest for new favorites.
- Fanatic – You never go back once you’ve picked your favorite and the same artist makes up more than a third of your listening.
- Hypnotists – Those who like to play an album entirely with great concentration from the first to the last track.
Where to see Me in 2023 on Spotify
Me in 2023 will appear in the third to last slide on Spotify Wrapped. Your listening personality can be found at the bottom, which on tapping will flip to explain the characteristics associated with a certain character.
However, the feature isn’t available to all users as pointed out by some of them on X/Twitter. It looks like Me in 2023 is shown for users in certain regions as people in the East are met with the message from their favorite artist in its place.
