It’s no secret that Warner Bros. had issues with «Justice League» and the overall trajectory of the DC Extended Universe. The studio spent $370 million on «Justice League» but it cost DC way more, as the film emerged as a critical and financial misfire. The failure of «Justice League» would mark the beginning of the end for the DCEU, with subsequent releases in the shared universe bombing. Execs and the creative team tried to elicit goodwill, but all attempts were futile. WB reportedly regrets releasing «Zack Snyder’s Justice League,» which has more critical clout than the maligned theatrical version.
If Wes Anderson’s «Justice League» ever saw the light of day, it would be an interesting juxtaposition to Snyder’s dour film. The AI-made trailer imagines Anderson presenting a more hopeful, comedic, and inspiring version of the iconic team. That’s particularly reflected in the film’s cast, filled with some of the director’s frequent collaborators. Luke Wilson flies as Superman, while his brother Owen steps into the speedy shoes of the Flash. Meanwhile, Ben Stiller replaces Ben Affleck as Batman. Jeffrey Wright and Anderson’s fave Jason Schwartzman take on the roles of Cyborg and Aquaman, respectively. A particularly inspiring casting choice is Cate Blanchett as Wonder Woman.
Anderson’s not-real «Justice League» echoes the same plot as the 2017 flick, with Lex Luthor (played by Ralph Fiennes) doing the bidding of Darkseid (voiced by Alec Baldwin). Oh, and for good measure, Bill Murray is cast as «Batman’s disappointed babysitter, Alfred.»
Understandably, Liam Neeson was gutted at the sudden loss of his wife Natasha Richardson, and he’s only spoken about it a handful of times — most notably during an interview with Anderson Cooper (when the anchor was with CBS News) in 2014. Neeson told Cooper that he was able to deliver some last words to his beloved partner, even though she was unconscious at the time.
«And I went in to her and told her I loved her,» Neeson recalled. «Said, ‘Sweetie, you’re not coming back from this. You’ve banged your head. It’s — I don’t know if you can hear me, but that’s — this is what’s gone down. And we’re bringing you back to New York. All your family and friends will come.’ And that was more or less it. You know?»
Neeson then told Cooper that he and Richardson made a pact years before her accident that if either one of them suffered brain death, the survivor would elect to end care and let the injured one go. The «Taken» actor even said that when he saw all of the machines surrounding Richardson in the hospital, he knew that it was the end. Neeson was proud to tell Cooper, though, that Richardson’s heart, kidneys, and liver were donated to patients in need, fondly saying, «So she’s keeping three people alive at the moment.»
Asked how Richardson would feel about Neeson’s second act as a major action star — and the financial success that came along with that — he simply said, «She’d be very — she’d be very — chuffed at that. She would — yeah, she would.»
Within its staggering three-hour runtime, «Oppenheimer» covers an impressive amount of the titular physicist’s life. And while Christopher Nolan’s predilection for sweeping montages and exhaustive exchanges of dialogue is on full display in the film, some of the story’s foundational elements are captured in less than a minute. One such example of this storytelling comes early in the film, when Nolan and Cillian Murphy manage to simultaneously express Oppenheimer’s growing confidence and expanding influence on the scientific community by having the character deliver a lecture in fluent Dutch.
If the scene doesn’t ring a bell, it might be because it takes up less than 30 seconds of the film, with Murphy’s Dutch monologuing in particular lasting a mere eight seconds. Yet for this relatively tiny moment, the actor needed three months of daily preparation. «It’s a small scene, but I remember talking to [Nolan] in preproduction and saying, ‘Chris, what do you want to do about this Dutch scene?’ And he said, ‘What are you going to do about this Dutch scene,’» Murphy recalled in «Unleashing Oppenheimer. «It’s very much that he works at the top of his game, so he expects everyone else to do their work, to do their due diligence.»
Hearing his director’s veiled warning loud and clear, Murphy asked the production’s Dutch-Swedish cinematographer, Hoyte van Hoytema, to record the dialogue multiple times at different speeds so he could practice along with it daily as the shoot progressed. And though he didn’t understand much of what he said (describing his fluency as «purely phonetic»), Murphy remained committed to Nolan’s vision and rose to the occasion.
One of the most intriguing decisions made in the «Avengers» recasting video is Leonardo DiCaprio as Spider-Man. When it came time for Sony Pictures to bring the webhead to life, the «Titanic» star was initially offered the role but he decided to pass. An interesting choice is to bring Ben Stiller into the Marvel universe as Ant-Man. One of the funniest characters in the franchise, Stiller could have easily thrived as Marvel’s greatest tiniest superhero.
A picture-perfect casting is Denzel Washington as T’Challa. What’s interesting about this AI Marvel concept is how actors currently in the MCU are recast. The most prominent is Angelina Jolie replacing Scarlett Johansson as the franchise’s Black Widow. Jolie joined the MCU with 2021’s «Eternals» as Thena. While «Eternals 2» looks dead at Marvel Studios, Jolie will hopefully get the opportunity to play Thena once again. Charlize Theron, who briefly debuted as Clea in «Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness» is seen replacing Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. Michelle Pfeiffer, who plays the former Wasp in the «Ant-Man» films, is recast as Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp … which is simply brilliant.

En el vídeo, se observa cómo dos calculadoras, una tradicional y la del móvil, arrojan resultados diferentes al resolver la misma operación. Se calculó 50 + 50 x 2, donde la app dio como resultado 150, mientras que la calculadora Casio arrojó 200.

Early in «The First Omen,» Margaret, a young novitiate of the Catholic Church, is met by Cardinal Lawrence (Bill Nighy) at the airport in Rome. Margaret was mentored by Cardinal Lawrence when she was young and has been loyal to him ever since. She’s in Rome to work at Vizzardeli Orphanage before becoming a nun. At the orphanage she’s introduced to Sister Silva (Sonia Braga), the head of the facility. She also meets Carlita, an orphan who draws strange pictures.
Father Brennan (Ralph Ineson), an excommunicated priest, approaches Margaret in St. Peter’s Square and tells her Carlita is involved in evil doings. But Margaret only sees the good in Carlita. When one of the sisters at the orphanage horrifically commits suicide, however, Margaret visits Brennan in secret. He asks her to bring him the files about Carlita, thinking there’s a conspiracy within the Church to have her give birth to the Antichrist.
While the nuns are welcoming Luz (Maria Cabellero), Margaret’s roommate, to their ranks, Margaret finds a secret passage in the wall of Sister Silva’s office. She follows it to the basement, where she finds the files on Carlita … and all the other attempts to birth a child fathered by Satan. Margaret is stopped from attempting to escape with Carlita by the nuns, but not before she sees the mark of the Antichrist — 666 — on the roof of Carlita’s mouth. The sci-fi genre hit the ground running this year with January’s «ClearMind.» The film blends horror with a subtle dose of sci-fi and centers around Nora (Rebecca Creskoff), a grieving mother studying the applications of virtual reality in trauma therapy. When Nora’s ex-husband, Michael (Rob Benedict), accidentally tells her that their mutual friends, Tom (Kadeem Hardison) and Shannon (Toks Olagundoye), are hosting a party to get everyone from their extended friend group together, Nora gets angry because they haven’t invited her.
Nora crashes the party and, with the use of virtual reality, exacts revenge on everyone she feels turned their back on her after the tragic death of her daughter at a pool party the previous year. The movie explores upsetting realities, like how friendships and marriages often dissolve after the death of a child, and how sometimes while grieving, people feel abandoned by fairweather friends who don’t think they are fun to be around anymore.
Despite these intense story elements, the movie has a wicked streak of dark comedy offsetting the horror elements. «ClearMind» is an under-the-radar gem with a 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes – although it might not be for everyone, as it does have lower audience scores. Cast with familiar faces, but no big names, this revenge tale is geared toward those with a twisted sense of humor and perfectly crafted for audiences who enjoy rooting for truly despicable characters to get what they deserve.

Muchas cosas han cambiado en Twitter desde que el multimillonario Elon Musk se vio prácticamente obligado a ponerse al timón de la red social, empezando por su propio nombre.

Vicente o Vicent Ferrer nació en Valencia, el 23 de enero de 1350, en una familia de buena posición. Su padre era notario.
En aquella época la clase alta tenía acceso a la educación, y esa educación la proporcionaba la Iglesia Católica. Así que Vicente entró en el Convento de los Predicadores de Valencia, aunque completó su formación en diferentes ciudades. En 1367 se convirtió en monje dominico.
Con los años se convirtió en un erudito. Fue profesor de Lógica, filósofo, y escritor que pertenece al Siglo de Oro valenciano.
Vicente Ferrer se hizo famoso por sus predicaciones, y por sus supuestos milagros y prodigios. Según la tradición, cuando levantaba el dedo índice hacia el cielo, se producía el milagro, por eso se le representa así en algunos cuadros y esculturas. En la investigación para su canonización, se contabilizaron 860 milagros con testigos.
Participó activamente en política, resultando clave para la elección del Rey de Aragón en el Compromiso de Caspe, en 1412. Los reinos de Aragón, Valencia, y el Principado de Cataluña, eligieron a Fernando de Antequera, regente de Castilla, como Rey de Aragón. Una elección clave para la futura unidad de España.
Un suceso clave en vida de Vicente Ferrer, fue una visión que tuvo en 1398 en Aviñón, que le llevó a ser predicador hasta su muerte.
Recorrió España, Francia e Italia a pie, predicando en los lugares por donde pasaba. Aseguran que tenía el Don de Lenguas: predicaba en valenciano, pero desde los castellanos a los franceses e italianos, todos le entendían en su propia lengua. Le seguía un enorme séquito, incluyendo un grupo de flageladores que se azotaban la espalda para purgar sus pecados.
A Vicente Ferrer también se le atribuye la fundación del primer orfanato registrado del mundo, en 1410. Es el Colegio Imperial Niños Huérfanos San Vicente Ferrer, que aún está activo.

While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, the «Reacher» star gushed about the DC hero and why he’s so eager to don the cape and cowl. «I would love to play Batman […] I want to be Bruce Wayne!» Ritchson exclaimed, adding, «Here’s the thing about Batman, [do] you know what his superpower is? Intelligence. He’s the smartest superhero there is, he’s inventive and has all the gadgets and stuff, but he’s [just] super smart.»
While it remains to be seen if Ritchson ever gets an appointment as Batman, his reasoning for wanting to play the character is sound. Arguably one of the smartest characters in superhero comics history, The Dark Knight stands out because his intellect makes up for the fact that he can’t fly or shoot lasers out of his eyes. In a way, Batman and Jack Reacher are alike, as both are methodical and always plotting, thinking one step ahead of their enemies.
Nearly two decades after starting out in Hollywood, Ritchson is finally getting his dues with «Reacher,» the Prime Video series that has turned him into a sensation. Based on author Lee Child’s character, «Reacher» has opened up plenty of opportunities for the actor. Could his clout also open up doors to the DC universe? Maybe.

Following the series’ initial success, Ritchson stole the show as a new member of the Fast Fam in 2023’s «Fast X.» The actor now has a key role in Guy Ritchie’s spy flick «The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,» which co-stars former Superman actor Henry Cavill. As «Reacher» continues to explode in popularity on Prime Video, it will be interesting to see if Ritchson can next land a superhero movie. He actually came close years ago: the «Reacher» star auditioned for and lost the huge Marvel role of Thor, which no doubt must have stung back then.
Seeing as James Gunn is rebooting the DC franchise with the upcoming «Superman,» it’s possible that Ritchson could seek out the role of Batman. Robert Pattinson’s «The Batman» films will remain self-contained, but Gunn is set to introduce a new Caped Crusader in Andy Muschietti’s «Batman: The Brave and Bold.» That film is supposed to feature an older Bruce Wayne, which would be perfect for Ritchson, as the actor is in his early 40s. While Ritchson isn’t officially in the running as the DC hero, it’s possible that his nuanced reasoning for wanting to play the Dark Knight will compel Gunn and Muschietti to give him a call.

Según han descubierto desde Autoevolution, al enviar un comando de navegación al asistente de Google en esta nueva versión de Android Auto, la solicitud de voz se procesa correctamente, pero ignorando la aplicación que se ejecuta en la pantalla.
Esto significa, que aunque ejecutes otra aplicación de navegación en Android Auto, el asistente de Google envía el comando a Google Maps.
Según comentan, este comportamiento no permite al usuario seguir con una aplicación de navegación distinta, lo que hace que Google Maps se convierte en la única solución de la aplicación compatible con el asistente de Google en Android Auto.
Consideran que esto puede tratarse de un error, debido a un cambio en el asistente de Google y que no deberíamos observarlo en otra versión del sistema.

These days, Mike Flanagan is one of the biggest names in the horror game, but you might not be super familiar with one of his earlier horror outings: 2017’s «Gerald’s Game.» This marks Flanagan’s first Stephen King adaptation — he later worked on «Doctor Sleep» in 2019 — and it’s particularly remarkable considering that the 1992 novel was always considered to be unfilmable. Clearly, Flanagan pulled it off quite well, especially considering that King himself later praised the film.
So why is «Gerald’s Game» so upsetting? The movie centers on couple Jessie and Gerald Burlingame (Carla Gugino and Bruce Greenwood), who decide to spend a romantic weekend at an isolated cabin in Alabama. Gerald handcuffs Jessie to the bed as the two are about to get down and dirty, but they end up arguing over the state of the relationship, at which point Gerald has a heart attack and dies. Jessie is then stuck alone and completely trapped, unable to reach food or a phone … and before too long, she starts hallucinating, to say nothing of the lengths she goes to so she can escape the handcuffs and get out of the house.
Between her visions, her escape tactics, and the frightening figure she keeps seeing known as the «moonlight man,» you won’t want to experience «Gerald’s Game» on your own — as Jessie is for most of the film.

Well, A24 has made many of the best films that have come out in the past ten years, including best picture winner «Everything, Everywhere, All at Once.» It has another slate of exciting films ready for 2024, and it kicked off the year with the brilliant «Problemista,» a new film from the mind of up-and-coming comedian Julio Torres. The film, which also stars Tilda Swinton, follows a young man named Alejandro (Torres). Alejandro grew up in El Salvador and moved to the United States, where he hoped to realize his dream of becoming a toy designer.
«Problemista» follows Alejandro as he deals with all of the struggles that come with immigration. He doesn’t have enough money to make a good start at anything and loses his job sponsorship almost as quickly as he obtains it. An eccentric woman named Elizabeth (Swinton) decides to employ Alejandro, asking for his help in putting together a gallery to celebrate her artist husband. Thanks to a whimsical, surrealist tone, a happy ending, and a particularly nuanced performance from Swinton (who humanizes the «Karen» archetype without providing false hope that such a self-obsessed person will have a real change of heart), «Problemista» manages to capture the desperation of poverty and unstable documentation status without leaving its audience bereft of hope.
