In the viral video, a doctor is fitting a small prosthetic leg onto a baby as he stares at the metal in confusion.

She screws the foot on, puts a sock and shoe on it and it’s time for the adorable baby to take his first ever steps.

He stands up and is a little wobbly at first, but a woman in the background helps step his feet and secures his waist.

Truett then takes a step on his own and has a huge smile on his face as he admires some bubbles being blown.

The video was shared on TikTok at the start of October and has had more than 2.6 million views.

One person commented: “This made me cry. So happy for him!”

“I love seeing beautiful moments like this,” said another.

A third person added: “What an awesome little warrior.”

“I’m crying but it’s happy tears,” someone else wrote.

Another said: “Such a brave little man.”

Truett’s parents document him on TikTok

Truett’s parents started documenting his journey on TikTok in August after he had to have amputation surgery.

“This is my son Truett. He was born with a rare congenital birth defect in his leg requiring us to amputate his lower leg,” his mother explained in the first video.

In the incredible clip, he only had the amputation surgery five days ago and was already crawling across the floor at speed.

“There is nothing that is going to slow him down,” she added with pride as the amputation wasn’t holding him back.

Other videos show him climbing the stairs, standing on one leg playing with his toys and attending his first prosthetic session.
