Barbie movie has been taking over the world ever since it was released and in a bid to bring in more viewers, a 3D ad was used in Dubai which makes even the Burj Khalifa look small.
Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling‘s Barbie movie has been breaking records in its first week and appears to have left Oppenheimer behind. Despite this, it looks like the movie’s marketing team is not giving up as people recently came across a 3D ad for the movie which was placed in front of Burj Khalifa.
A look at the Barbie 3D ad near Burj Khalifa
The 3D which is placed in Dubai appears to show a Barbie stepping out of its box in a white and black stripe dress.
The figurine, which stands nearly as tall as the Burj Khalifa, definitely makes the tallest building look a bit small in comparison.
The video was first shared by Eye Studio, which is a creative content and social media agency in Dubai. The clip has now gone viral online with people sharing it on platforms like Twitter and TikTok.
Fans react to the ad
People were left shocked to see the ad and it did not take long for them to react to the same. One user wrote: “That’s pretty damn cool!”
Another added: “I would be amazed and scared at the same time lol.” “Oh they seriously took Barbie coming to the real world seriously,” another wrote.
“Holy. They’ve got MONEY money for promo. I haven’t seen this much money spent on promo for a movie in a long time. Love it,” read one more comment. Meanwhile, some thought that Barbie looked a lot like Taylor Swift.
“Now why does this literally look like Taylor Swift,” wrote one. Another added: “It’s Taylor Swift duh ..with that blank space sunglass and that hair front bangs with a braid like folklore, body suit ..yes TSwift.”
Barbie has not yet been released in Dubai
While the rest of the world has gotten lost in the Barbie world, people in Dubai will still have to wait as the movie is expected to release on August 31.
Until then, the fans sure do have the 3D ad to enjoy.
