An old meme that says ‘Be the Miley of your friend group’ has resurfaced this week after Miley Cyrus said it was always obvious she is ‘bisexual’.
The singer showed the famous 2009 picture in her Used To Be Young series in which she is sharing old memories on TikTok following her new single.

“This picture has become a meme,” she said while holding up the photo on an iPad. “Where it says ‘Be the Miley of your friend group’.”
“If you guys didn’t know I was bisexual from this damn picture, I don’t know what’s wrong with you,” the singer added while laughing.
The paparazzi photo shows her with Emily Osment, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato leaving a Hannah Montana: The Movie premiere.
Miley Cyrus wrongly recalled that they were leaving the Grammys, but hilariously revealed they were heading to the Cheesecake Factory.
“Me and Emily, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato are going to the Cheesecake Factory,” she said. “These are some classy ladies.”

Emily, Taylor and Demi are all dressed up really fancy, but Miley changed out of her premiere outfit and got into something a little comfier.
She’s wearing green sweatpants, Ugg-style boots, a grey patterned top and a cardigan as she strolls through the streets without a care.
Fans instantly thought her confidence and carefree attitude was something to aspire too, and alas the famous meme was born.
Miley speaks on her sexuality
The 30-year-old has always been open about her struggles surrounding her sexuality. She once recalled a conversation with her mother Tish when she was 14.
“I remember telling her I admire women in a different way. And she asked me what that meant. And I said, ‘I love them. I love them like I love boys.’ And it was so hard for her to understand,” she told told Paper in 2015.
“She didn’t want me to be judged, and she didn’t want me to go to hell. But she believes in me more than she believes in any God.”
“I just asked for her to accept me. And she has,” she continued, later adding, “I don’t relate to being boy or girl, and I don’t have to have my partner relate to boy or girl.”
The following year, she told Variety that she never understood her gender and sexuality and hated the word ‘bisexual’ because “that’s even putting me in a box”.
“I don’t ever think about someone being a boy or someone being a girl,” she said – and the star has always encouraged fans to be who they want to be too.
