Beyonce‘s fans were overwhelmed with joy after the singer shared a tender moment with Diana Ross at her September 4 So-Fi stadium concert in Los Angeles. The show was on the day of Queen B’s 42nd birthday. Amid Beyonce’s power-packed performance, she received a warm birthday tribute from the iconic singer Diana Ross. The two women’s love and respect for each other left fans teary-eyed.
Diana Ross’ heartwarming birthday tribute to Beyonce
Beyonce’s September 4th Renaissance show was a star-studded affair. Among the stars who attended the concert were Adele, Zendaya and Tom Holland, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Lizzo, Katy Perry, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Kate Hudson, Normani, and many more. Hollywood’s latest rumored couple Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner were also in attendance.
Ross took to the stage at the 11:00 pm mark and sang her all-time hit Love Hangover. She then followed up her track by singing Happy Birthday to the Single Ladies singer. Beyonce who was enormously touched by Diana’s gesture ran out to the stage to greet the idol. An emotional Beyonce gave Ross a warm hug and held the embrace for a few seconds. The two held each other in a sideways embrace as the 79-year-old singer said, “I’m here to celebrate Beyoncé’s birthday,” and Queen B mouthed, “I love you.”
Beyonce also addressed her fans by giving a heart-touching birthday speech. “My soul is full. I’m so thankful, I’m trying not to cry,” the 42-year-old said. “I’m thankful to be alive. I’m thankful to be on stage. I’m thankful to look out and see your faces. I’m thankful to be able to provide a safe space for all of you. I’m thankful for music, for the ability to heal myself through music which then heals all of you.”
She further extended her gratitude to her Destiny’s Child band members Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, LeToya Luckett, and LaTavia Robertson.

Fans could not help but sing praises of Beyonce after witnessing her birthday concert.
“She’s really so grateful you can tell. so humble and so beautiful. beyoncé you will always be famous.”
“Two legends being legendary,” a second fan said after witnessing Bey and Ross’ heartwarming interaction.
“Nothing can be more legendary than this BEYONCE YOU ARE A LEGEND BABY,” a third fan chimed in.
“Beyonce is so real for working on her birthday. That’s why she got more money than me now cuz me… imma be off,” a fourth fan wrote sharing their funny take.
“I’m not crying you are,” another fan said with many crying emojis. The further said, “Diana Ross sang Happy Birthday to Beyonce like this is a moment for motha.”
Throwback to when Beyonce sang at Ross’ birthday
Some fans also shared a throwback video of Beyonce singing Happy Birthday to Diana Ross. The Renaissance maker sang the birthday song to Ross in her soulful voice at Ross’ party. Many other famous guests were present at the gathering.
We can spot Ross’ daughter Tracey Ellis Ross and P Diddy in the video among others. The two once again hug each other tightly and Ross addresses the crowd later.
