A loving boyfriend taught himself how to do his partner’s nail extensions in order to save money, and his work has gone viral on TikTok with many viewers fascinated by his amazing designs.
The nail artist boyfriend even has some TikTok viewers suggesting he should start painting Warhammer figurines, while other people simply just admire his newfound talent in the DIY beauty industry.
Boyfriend learned how to do his partner’s nails in viral TikTok
A TikTok account shared by a couple named Dakota and Jayshree, shows the boyfriend (Dakota) learning to master the art of creating his partner’s gel nail extensions.
The account named @gelxdaddy is dedicated to documenting the boyfriend teaching himself how to create nail extensions and pretty nail artwork.
A recent video has blown up on their page, showing a collection of images following Dakota’s journey and progress as a self-taught nail artist.
The skill started as a means for the couple to save money, rather than paying for Jayshree to get her nails done at a beauty salon.
However, it seems that boyfriend Dakota has since mastered the skill of nails and will be continuing his endeavor into the future.
With the caption explaining “one year ago, my boyfriend learned how to do my nails so we could save extra money”, the viral video spans from the first set Dakota ever created to later showing the intricate nail art he can now design.
Along with the fun nail content, Dakota also shares his tips and tricks to help people do their own gel nails. Products used in the DIY nail videos can be found using the link in the creator’s TikTok bio.
The couple’s nail art journey is also documented on Instagram with the same username @gelxdaddy, flaunting several nail sets produced by Dakota.
The viral TikTok video has currently reached over 36 million views, more than five million likes a comment section filled with amazement.
Beneath the popular post, a user named @Chelsea Alexander advised the talented boyfriend to get licensed, in order to start doing nails professionally: “Please tell me he will go get licensed cause he has been blessed with a gift!”
@gelxdaddy responded confirming that she is trying to persuade her boyfriend to get licensed: “I’m trying to convince him to do it! He’s literally better than any nail tech I’ve ever had!”
@Lorey suggested “he could have a career doing nails if he wanted”, and @Niki Spargal also wrote: “I hope he went from saving money to making money!”

In the comment section, masses of people began to advise Dakota that he should start using hs talent to paint Warhammer figures.
Warhammer is a popular tabletop game in which players can also paint their miniature figurines, taking them from bare plastic to fully realized warriors.
A user named @soliousdragon also noted that Warhammer figure painting could also earn him money: “If he did Warhammer figures that’s good money too!”
However, some people argue that Dakota shouldn’t have to use his precision and steady hand for gaming and instead should be able to focus on nail-art if he wishes to.
