WWE star Bray Wyatt’s cause of death was a heart attack but reports state that the wrestler was also suffering from a life-threatening illness.
Windham Lawrence Rotunda, popularly known as Bray Wyatt, was a star in the WWE. A post from WWE mourning the loss of their fighter stated that he passed away on Thursday, August 24. Following his shock death, wrestling reporter Sean Ross revealed that the 36-year-old had been dealing with COVID-19-related complications before his sudden passing.

Fightful.com noted in an August 19 report that Bray Wyatt was suffering from a ‘life-threatening illness’. At the time, however, the report revealed that he was recovering well and was getting ‘closer’ to returning to the WWE ring.
It further said that WWE had been taking extra precautions so that his long-term health wouldn’t be impacted by his return.
Wrestling reporter Sean Ross’ recent tweet reveals Bray battled COVID earlier this year. It led to complications and exacerbated a heart issue. “There was a lot of positive progress towards a return and his recovery,” the reporter notes, but sadly, Bray passed away due to a heart attack this week.

Ross further stated that while Bray was showing signs of progress, he suffered an unfortunate heart attack on August 24 and passed away.
Before the 36-year-old wrestler was forced to take time away from WWE due to his illness, his character ‘The Fiend’ was the newest integration in a storyline that included ‘Uncle Howdy.’
The late wrestler is survived by his ex-wife Samantha Rotunda and their two daughters.
He also leaves behind his fiancé and WWE ring announcer JoJo Offerman and their two kids.
