Eva Lefebrve ‘mauled by monkeys’ viral TikTok story debunked
A scary story shared via TikTok has confused and creeped out many viewers on social media.
The video made using AI shows a woman named Eva Lefebrve talking to the camera, explaining that she was attacked by a group of chimpanzees.
There are no articles or news information surrounding the Eva Lefebrve story online. Since the TikTok clips are simply AI images and recordings, the story has been debunked as a fake tale created on social media.
In the story, Eva Lefebrve explains that she is 24 years old and born in New Mexico. One day, she and her friends decided to visit the Kibale National Park.
As they were strolling through the park, 13 chimpanzees appeared and started harassing the group of friends.
Eva Lefebrve was holding a banana in her hand, supposedly triggering the chimps, when they progressively became more aggressive until she threw the banana into the pack.
One of the chimps chased Eva to the car, the video explains: “I was so scared I took my phone out and started filming the assault.”
The chimp was extremely playful and while Eva tried to stay calm, she stated: “I was certain that the end was near.”
The TikTok clip shared by @cityhorrors has currently reached over one million views, more than 29,000 likes, and a comment section full of confused and fearful comments.

@Boyd Baker stated that the horror story is simply an AI-made-up video: “Do people really not realize this is AI?”
@kaitlyn wrote: “There are so many different versions of this story but they all end the same way. O can’t find ANYTHING about it online.”
Another user named @Taylor suggested that the real story could be based on an orangutan: “It was an orangutan, not a chimp and he didn’t chase her to her car, he grabbed her wrist and held on and eventually let go she was fine.”
