Labor Day weekend is officially underway across America and fast-food lovers are wondering if they can get their Chick-fil-A fix on Monday, 4, September 2023.

In 2023, it falls on September 4 and Labor Day is one of the 11 recognized federal holidays in the United States. Schools, banks, post offices, and many workplaces are closed on Monday as people celebrate the three-day weekend with loved ones.
Most shops and eateries are usually open, but what about Chick-fil-A, Popeyes and KFC? Read on to see whether the chain is open on Labor Day 2023…
Is Chick-fil-A open on Labor Day?
Yes! Chick-fil-A is always open on Labor Day, so you will be able to grab that post-barbecue snack. However, your local branch may be opening with shorter hours.
Last year, the fast-food chain revealed that most stores would be open from 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. So, it’s expected to be the same in 2023.
Usually, most Chick-fil-A stores close at 10 p.m., so that means branches are closing four hours early on Labor Day. However, it’s best to check with your local branch as opening times may vary.
Can you visit Popeyes on Labor Day too?
If you prefer Popeyes, that’s open on Labor Day too.
Most branches will be open for their usual operating hours of 10:30 am to 10 pm, so you will be able to grab a Chicken Sandwich or Tenders Meal all day.
However, again, it is best to call or visit your local Popeyes store as it’s possible that opening times could vary on Labor Day depending on the state.
KFC opening times on Labor Day 2023
KFC will be open on Labor Day as well, so you’ve got loads of fast-food chicken options to choose from on the holiday.
Like Chick-fil-A and Popeyes, KFC is open on all federal holidays including Labor Day, Independence Day, and Memorial Day.
Stores should be operating at normal hours, which are 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. but some may be closing earlier. Some KFC branches have different opening hours, so it’s best to check with your local restaurant first.
The chain only closes on two days of the year, Christmas Day and Thanksgiving, so you can get your chicken fix (almost) all year round.
