A restaurant in New Hampshire rumored to be ‘haunted’ has captured a mysterious image on its security camera, and that has led to many believing the place was visited by a ghost.
As Halloween is nearing, rumors about paranormal activities are at an all-time high. Previously, we told you about people in Ohio dreading skinwalkers when fake alerts started making rounds on TikTok. Even though the residents of NH aren’t new to ‘ghosts’ in the Library Restaurant owing to its history, the recent sighting is spooky, nevertheless.
‘Haunted’ restaurant known for ‘ghosts’ captures strange sighting on camera
The Library Restaurant located in Rockingham House posted security footage on its official Facebook page to show something unexplainable.
The post suggests the restaurant is haunted because it is “well known for its ghosts and notably the ones in the Library basement.”
The restaurant claims the alarms inside the building went off when the motion detector sensed something move in the “dead of night outside the window.”
The post reads: “It is not lights from the car – because you can see how others are picked up and there is no horizontal wind blowing. So what can this be!”
The police visited the property to check what activated the alarm as it’s hard to explain the security footage.
Ghostly image spooks people out
About 18 seconds into the security footage, you can see a fast-moving mysterious white cloud fly past the camera. The video appears normal except for the brief appearance of something resembling smoke.
While some social media users find the sighting extremely creepy, a few others think it could be smoke from a vape or a cigarette that has now been confused with a ghost.
“Yeah, this is supernatural stuff,” said one user.
“The Library Restaurant is right – those are some TALL columns. Even if someone was smoking or vaping, it wouldn’t reach that height. What’s confusing is that the motion sensor INSIDE was tripped,” said another.
A third one said: “Stay out of the basement!”
Another added: “The building’s exterior should be inspected. The building settling could cause a puff of dust and a vibration causing a motion detector false alarm.”
Building is known for paranormal activities
The Library Restaurant holds a reputation for its spookiness as rumors claim it is haunted.
The co-owner of the restaurant, Adrienne Waterman, told NBC Boston: “I have myself seen things fall off shelves, everyone has seen that you can always try and rationalize that type of thing.”
Apparently, the restaurant’s basement has tunnels that lead to the ocean, which is believed to be the source of “uneasy energy”.
A few residents have backed the restaurant’s claims about paranormal activities by sharing their own experiences at the building.
“I have been to the Library many times, and I assure you, there is a female ghost in the bathroom area in the lower level,” said one resident.
