Present-day and former Facebook users can get a part of the $725 million settlement the social media company has agreed to pay. The social media website’s parent company Meta agreed to pay for the settlement in December 2022. The settlement comes at the end of a longstanding legal battle Meta fought after data of Facebook’s 87 million users was made accessible to Cambridge Analytica. However, the last date to send your claim form to access the Facebook settlement in 2023 is drawing near.
Last date to apply for Facebook’s Settlement 2023 revealed
Facebook User’s Privacy Settlement website reveals that the last date to submit a claim is Friday, August 25, 2023, until 11:59 PM. Those who were the platform’s users from May 24, 2007, and December 22, 2022, are eligible to get a payment under the lawsuit.
The final hearing on the matter will take place on Thursday, September 7. That is the day when a judge will likely approve the final details of the Facebook settlement.
Claimants can choose how they want to receive payments. Their options include a direct deposit to a bank account, prepaid Mastercard, and payments on PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo.
Where to find the form for Facebook’s Settlement claim 2023
Users can find the claim form for the settlement on Facebook User Privacy Settlement’s website. The form is under the Submit Claim option.
In the form, you will have to provide your name, email id, phone number, and residence details. You also need to choose the mode in which you wish to receive the payment. You can also edit your claim until the August 25 deadline.
The website also warns Facebook users to be wary of those asking for their social security number and other personal and sensitive information in the name of filing their claim. Angeion Group, LLC is the sole administrator of the Facebook settlement.

How much money you will get remains undetermined
The settlement administrator does not provide an estimate of how much money each claimant will get. The website notes that it will depend on the total number of valid claims they receive. It will also depend on how long someone has been a Facebook user.
The administrative costs will also get deducted from the total claim. After all deductions a “Net Settlement Fund” amount will be available to the class members.
