Jon May attempts to drink 2,000 pints in 200 days

A man named Jon May has challenged himself to drink 2,000 pints in 200 days and while documenting his journey he has reached insane views on his viral videos.

The TikTok creator (@j0nmay) definitely isn’t completing sober October with only a few pints to go until he reaches his goal.

There is only a short amount of time before his challenge is up, on October 20, and Jon May has nine pints to get down his neck until the finish.

The 25-year-old from Sheffield has shared his bizarre journey, having decided to embark on the mammoth task after seeing another social media user attempting to drink 1,000 pints in a year.

On day 197 of the experiment, Jon May announced he had already drank a whopping 1,984 pints, equating to an average of 10.07 per day.

The boozy challenge is nearly complete

As Jon May’s boozy experiment draws to a close, the pressure is certainly building and comments across social media vary from concerning warnings to hilarious reactions.

On October 19, Jon May explained that he is nearing the end of his experiment: “We’ve got three days left, 16 pints left so we need to drink an average of 5.3. That’s no worries, we’re going to have five today and then we’re going to have like two on Thursday.”

The TikToker added: “No need to worry, we’ve got it all under control. We have spent £7,936 and drank a grand total of 361,088 calories. That is an average of 1.832.93 calories every single day. So yeah! We are smashing it as per usual.”

Weekly Guidelines reported by NHS advise that men and women should not to drink more than 14 units per week. It also recommends that those 14 units are spread out evenly over three or more days.

Jon May’s self-contained challenge should not be repeated, and it’s not clear if he has contacted a health profession before or during the experiment.

With thousands of views on each video, the comments section is full of viewers being shocked by his ‘dedication’, while others seem to be more concerned about how his liver is coping.

A TikTok user wrote: “As someone taking a sober October, thank you for letting me live vicariously through you lad.”

Another user named @felixhouseman.lufc labelled the creator as the “greatest athelte of our generation” in their TikTok comment.

Concerned about Jon May’s hangover, @Callum Adams381 wrote: “Jon, mate. What is the hangover situation like? Are you immune?”

@Lindsey Scott asked:”What’s the plan for day 201? Water?”

Another user referred to Jon May as a “national treasure” in their tweet:
