Fans review the taste of McDonald’s Mambo Sauce
The fast food restaurant‘s official blog simply describes the taste of the tomato-based Mambo Sauce to be “sweet, spicy and vinegary”, but X/Twitter users have come up with rather interesting descriptions for the new dip, with some even comparing it to the sauce served at Popeyes.
One user said: “McDonald’s having mambo sauce is insane”
“The new McDonald’s Mambo Sauce is so good it tastes just like sweet heat from Popeyes but Popeyes is way better,” said another.
A third user wrote: “So the mambo sauce at McDonald’s is good. But it’s super spicy so be prepared”
“This mambo sauce from McDonald’s is so meh. It tastes like spicy jelly,” said another.

McDonald’s claims its Sweet & Spicy Jam Sauce, which is added to the menu with the new dip, is “the first-ever breakfast-inspired dipping sauce to hit US restaurants.”
The jammy sauce is described as having a “tongue-numbing Szechuan peppercorn kick and extra heat from cayenne pepper and is finished with apple cider vinegar”.
The restaurant’s Chefs recommend having it with a range of breakfast items, including Sausage muffins with Egg, Bacon, Egg and Cheese biscuits, Hash Browns, and more.
Where to buy the new flavors?
McDonald’s new flavors of sauce will be available starting October 9 through November 12 at all the participating restaurants in the US for a limited period while the supplies last.
