Cullen Hill gets candid about her alcohol addiction
Cullen, who is fairly new to TikTok, opened up about her struggles to her followers on social media. The video began with Cullen saying she used to be a runner-up in Miss America but life changed for her due to alcohol addiction.
She proceeded to show some of her old pictures and gave viewers a glimpse of what her life used to be like. “I’m an alcoholic and I have been struggling with this since I was 24 and I just got out of 30 days of jail,” she said.
Cullen explained that the purpose of the video was to remind everyone that there is always hope.
What we know about the former Miss America contestant
Cullen was Miss Virginia before she competed in the Miss America pageant. She managed to win several hearts even though she did not win the pageant.
Fast forward to 2023, Cullen admitted her life has changed drastically. She is now a proud mother of one and lives happily with her husband. In the TikTok video, Cullen explained that she and her husband were both alcohol addicts. However, her husband has managed to stay sober.
Cullen, on the other hand, had managed to stay sober for a while but unfortunately went back to her old ways a couple of years later.
Why was Cullen Hill arrested?
Cullen was arrested for DUI. This was her second DUI which led to her being jailed for 30 days. After finishing her time, the 1995 Miss America runner-up decided to cut her hair to have a new start.
Now, she plans to focus on her health and go back to her AA meetings to ensure she can turn her life around.
