Find out the names and ages of all the ‘8 Passengers’ kids as Utah YouTuber Ruby Franke is arrested on child abuse charges.
The YouTube channel, which was launched in 2015, had 2.2 million subscribers at its peak, but was deleted earlier this year.
Names and ages of the ‘8 Passengers’ kids
The channel followed the lives of Ruby Franke, Kevin Franke and their six children:
- Shari Franke, 20
- Chad Franke, 18
- Abby Franke, 16
- Julie Franke, 14
- Eve Franke, 9
- Russell Franke, 12
The videos documented their lives in a vlog-style format and Ruby, 41 was known for her strict parenting approach.
Rumors have been circling since 2020 that she and Kevin, 44, are now divorced, although this hasn’t been confirmed.
Ruby Franke arrested on child abuse charges
Ruby Franke has been arrested on two counts of aggravated child abuse – intentionally or knowingly, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office reveals.
She was taken into custody after police received a report about a child in need of help at 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday morning (August 30).
The calling party said the child was “emaciated and malnourished with open wounds and duct tape around the extremities,” the Santa Clara-Ivins Public Safety Department said in a press release.
“The condition of the juvenile was so severe that they were seen by Santa Clara-Ivins EMS and transported to a local area hospital.”
Officers were reportedly called after the malnourished son escaped out of a car window and ran to a nearby house to get help.
They were then led to a nearby home where another child was found in a similar condition and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Four minors have been taken into the care of the Department of Child and Family Services following a search of the home.
Jodi Hildebrandt also arrested
The Utah mother’s business partner Jodi Hildebrant has also been arrested for aggravated child abuse – intentionally or knowingly.
Both of them currently remain in custody. Hildebrant is an author and life coach who founded the counseling service Connexions Classroom.
Based in Orem, Utah, the company teaches that for a person to achieve true “connection” with another human being, they must not be in “distortion”.
Ruby is a mental fitness trainer at ConneXions and provides content on the service’s social media platforms and podcasts.
