Nicki Minaj samples Billie Eilish

The track features a sample of Billie Eilish’s 2019 hit When The Party’s Over, a somber song about a toxic relationship.

It begins with the entire first verse, opening with the lines: “Don’t you know I’m no good for you/ I’ve learned to lose you, can’t afford to.”

“Tore my shirt to stop you bleedin’/ But nothin’ ever stops you leavin’/ Quiet when I’m comin’ home and I’m on my own,” it continues.

Nicki Minaj then starts rapping about her late father Robert Maraj as the beat of Eilish’s hit continues playing in the background.

The song delves into her grief following her dad’s death and despair that her son Papa Bear never got to meet him.

Rapper sings Billie Eilish’s praises

Ahead of the album’s release, Nicki teased the sample on Twitter/X, writing: “Schmillie Schmeilish may or may not be the intro of #PinkFriday2.”

She then revealed the track name and said: “Yes you heard what I said. The one. The only. The young ICON.”

Minaj went on to call Eilish a “talent” and a “beauty” before adding: “The intro is just… wow.”

The Everything I Wanted singer’s track continues playing all the way through the three-and-a-half minute hit.

In the outro, Eilish then sings: “Quiet when I’m coming home and I’m on my own/ I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that.”

Fans say it’s an ‘iconic’ collab
