PSG star Kylian Mbappe has reportedly turned down the approach from Al-Hilal after the Saudi Arabian side made a world-record offer for the forward which, according to Fabrizio Romano, was in the region of £259 million.
Despite the offer being accepted by the French giants, it seems the French forward has made his mind up about the move to the Middle East, which was rumoured to have been on a one-year contract.
According to L’Equipe, Mbappe has seemingly refused to meet with a delegation from the Saudi Arabian club. The report from France states that despite Al-Hilal’s perseverance in regard to the deal to sign the French forward, Mbappe refused to meet the side, who saw their £259 million offer accepted according to Sky Sports.

PSG have reportedly been desperate to sell the 24-year-old with the forward having just a year left on his contract with the French giants, and the forward is refusing to trigger the one-year extension in his contract.
Mbappe & Real Madrid seems likely
With the forward reportedly turning down the advances from the Middle East, it seems that Real Madrid are the most likely destination for the French forward.
This has been backed up by Romano who, in his tweet late last night, stated that sources from PSG’s side say they believe that Mbappe has a secret agreement with Real Madrid for next season.
The Frenchman has been linked with Madrid for the past two seasons now and came incredibly close to joining Los Blancos, only for the forward to instead perform a U-turn and sign a new contract at the Parc Des Princes according to The Athletic.
The deal to take Mbappe to Al-Hilal would have allowed the forward to stay for a season and earn potentially £600 million before moving to the Santiago Bernabeu, but the forward has turned down their approach.
Al-Hilal are seemingly closing in on the signing of Mbappe’s teammate, PSG midfielder Marco Verratti. After personal terms were agreed with the French side demanding £25 million for the midfielder to make the move according to Romano.
