A funny meme is circling social media this week about an M&M Casserole – the perfect Thanksgiving side-dish for people who can’t be bothered.
Forget the green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and stuffing, this sweet option is way yummier and it doesn’t even involve any cooking. Just kidding!

The satirical post was shared by a teacher on Instagram this week who joked: “It is a tradition for me to bring my famous M&M Casserole to our faculty luncheon.”
She put four bags of chocolate M&Ms in a variety of flavors into a big white bowl and added a spoon so that people can help themselves.
“As you can see, I go all out! I bring it wearing potholders and even include the recipe card!” the teacher continued.
Next to the bowl is a card that hilariously lists the ingredients: One bag of plain M&Ms, one bag of peanut ones, one bag of almond M&Ms and one bag of peanut butter ones.
How to make M&M Casserole
Underneath the ingredients is a recipe that sarcastically explains exactly how to make it.
“DO NOT preheat the oven. DO NOT grease pan. Pour 1⁄2 bag of each bag of M&Ms into casserole dish,” it begins. “Stir gently until evenly mixed.”
The card then tells you to pour in the other half of each bag of M&Ms, stir gently and cover the casserole dish with a lid.
“Dish is now ready to serve. Do not forget the potholders! Makes 20 servings. You must be an experienced cook to master this recipe!” it continues.
The meme has had people on social media in hysterics. Some have even made parody videos in response on TikTok.
One person commented: “I think I need to bring this recipe to Thanksgiving this year.”
