Summer Walker and Lil Meech seem to be experiencing a breakup after the singer accuses her partner of ‘cheating’ in tea-spilling Instagram Story posts.
Americansinger Summer Walker has been dating actor and rapper Demetrius Flenory Jr., also known as Lil Meech, since earlier this year but fans now assume the couple has split after subtle statements with cheating accusations were shared on social media.
Summer Walker accuses Lil Meech of ‘cheating’
American artists Summer Walker and Lil Meech have reportedly broken up after messages were shared online hinting that the male actor had cheated on his partner.
Summer Walker took to Instagram on Monday 31 July to subtly share a relationship update with her 5.7 million followers in a Story post that read:
“Tried my best to be Jayda Wayda but I couldn’t. It was cute though, I wish him the best.”
Walker then shared another story supposedly accusing Lil Meech of ‘cheating’ as she alludes to dishonesty – suggesting she can’t put up with that type of behavior:
“Can’t do that cheating stuff.”
Jayda Cheaves is a popular American actress, author, model, YouTube creator, and Instagram influencer, along with an accomplished entrepreneur.
Also known as Jayda Wayda, the creator is famously known as the girlfriend of a famous American rapper named Lil Baby.
Many fans are confused as to why Walker was throwing shade toward Jayda in the Instagram Story.
Jayda has not directly addressed the statement but she did hop into The Shade Room’s comment section to address it:
“I learned my lesson after one kid. Mfers round here starting their own trends and tryna insert me in for laughs on the shade room.”
Speculations surrounding their break up after only months
Dating rumors started to circulate involving Lil Meech and Summer Walker in April 2023 when Lil Meech appeared at an event accompanied by a mystery woman who was wearing a pink ski mask.
Internet detectives quickly linked the guest’s identity to singer Summer Walker, and the pair eventually confirmed their relationship status online, according to The Shade Room, before attending public events such as the BET Awards together.
Born on 22 April 2000, 23-year-old Lil Meech has supposedly only been in a relationship with 27-year-old Summer Walker (born on 11 April 1996) for a few months, as fans now assume the couple have split.
Along with the Instagram Story statements, Summer Walker also shared a brief clip of her previous interview on ‘Caresha Please.’ In the video, the singer shared her thoughts on romantic partners being dishonest.
Aside from the concern, some fans are simply just interested in Summer Walker’s new music that they hope she will release post-breakup.
Kids weren’t on the cards for the couple just yet
Solo artist Summer Walker has three children including twins with two different baby fathers. She has a daughter with London on da track and twins with Larry A.K.A Lvrd Pharaoh.
Before the cheating accusations surrounding Lil Meech, Summer Walker was supposedly happily coupled up with the actor but children weren’t on the cards for the couple just yet.
On 14 July 2023, the singer addressed the topic via her Instagram Story after a fan asked why she appeared to be pregnant again and she defended her postpartum body:
“Because I had three kids and no lipo lol y’all need to stop asking me this.”
Walker suggested that a baby with Lil Meech isn’t arriving any time soon as she is also due to go on tour:
“Lil Lil Meech ain’t coming no time soon lol relax I’m finta tour soon no time for that right now.”
