SuperMega’s Matt Watson and DonDRR have broken their silence on Twitter amid their controversy involving Lex Updog’s serious allegations.
Popular YouTube channel SuperMega has reportedly lost over 10,000 subscribers after cosplayer Lex Updog made allegations against the YouTuber’s artist, DonDRRR, accusing him of sexual assault.
Fans are criticizing SuperMega for allegedly not handling the situation appropriately, and one member of the YouTube duo, Matt Watson, has briefly addressed the circumstances on Twitter.

SuperMega controversy: Matt Watson and DonDRRR reply to Lex Updog’s video
On July 27, cosplayer Lex Updog posted a video titled “My Experience With DonDRRR And SuperMega,” during which she detailed an alleged sexual assault experience involving DonDRRR. The model also claimed in the shortened Twitter summary that Watson did not support her and felt that she couldn’t publicize her experiences earlier as she’d have to “explain things that Matt and Ryan clearly didn’t want people to know.”
DonDRRR issued an apology three hours later for “any trauma she may feel regarding our past relationship”, while sharing his side of the story.
The former couple were physically involved in November 2021 and Don claims Lex initially refused to perform a sexual act, but she agreed after he requested again. The intimacy stopped after the cosplayer claimed it was too overwhelming, which he allegedly apologized for.
The artist went on to admit that he was “under no impression that anything traumatizing had occurred” during their intimacy, but “realizes now this was extremely upsetting for her.”
According to Don, he apologized to Lex three times overall during and after the alleged incident, the last being on Discord on August 31, 2022.
As for Watson, he has yet to directly address the allegations, but he has announced the cancellation of his future tour dates.
“Hey guys, with what’s being said right now I don’t think it’s appropriate for me to do a concert so I unfortunately am going to cancel the last two shows. I’ll have a response as soon as possible,” he wrote.
There has been no response from other SuperMega member Ryan Magee.
Lex Updog fans applaud creator for speaking out
Lexi and SuperMega fans alike are rallying behind the cosplayer for bravely publicizing her experiences, and many SuperMega viewers have called it their “final straw”.
“This is just absolutely abysmal,” one wrote. “I hope you can find a way out of this blinding haze. You deserve to heal and smile again.”
A second person added: “While I don’t really watch SuperMega much anymore, I used to be a big fan. This is the second time I’ve heard of a situation where they uninvolve themselves from the situation, ignore it, and try to make it seem like everything is fine.”
“Lex oh my god this is so awful… I’m so sorry to hear this.,” another continued. “You’re incredibly strong for speaking about this. Please take care of yourself. You are always the priority.”
The conversation has expanded onto Reddit, where many users claim SuperMega should have cut ties with Don immediately after Lex’s allegations to preserve the channel’s reputation.
“Cutting a friend out of your life isn’t easy,” one wrote, “but it’s respectable and the right thing to do. I don’t think they would have lost a single fan had they handled this properly.”
