In a clip that was posted on Dadpack’s Instagram, the dad can be seen jumping in the pool while holding his daughter’s hand.
The video had an overwritten text that read: “The one time my husband asks me to film him and our daughter on our vacation, he does this.”
While the short clip ended with the daughter-dad duo landing in the water, it did manage to generate mixed reactions from the viewers.
Some users issue concerns regarding the safety
One of the major concerns for many after viewing the video was about the safety as they thought the daughter could have ended up with bruises. One user wrote: “This horrifies me, I’m all for kids learning to take risks but he flings her by the arm, head down into water. Children can drown from less than this. Water isn’t a risk I’m willing to take in this way until my child is capable of swimming and of an age to understand safety.”
Another added: “Good way to dislocate a child’s elbow or shoulder! Good parenting!!!” “All I know is my grandma would’ve hit my dad if he did that to me,” read one more comment.

On the other hand, there were several people who applauded the dad and were certain that his daughter had a wonderful time. One user wrote: “This is every summer day for GenX, then we drank from hoses and ate ice cream from trucks driven by felons.”
“This was totally my dad with me. Best childhood ever” read one more comment. “You know this wasn’t the last time, she probably loved it,” wrote one more. “This is called good parenting,” said another user.
