In «Knocked Up,» Ben (Rogen) is a typical party-loving slacker who has a one-night stand with the career-focused Allison (Katherine Heigl). Their lives take a wild turn when Allison reveals that she’s pregnant, forcing the polar opposites to come together and put aside their differences to raise a child. The pic also stars comedic heavyweights Bill Hader, Jason Segel, Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd, and Leslie Mann in supporting roles. The success of «Knocked Up» compelled director Judd Apatow to tackle a sequel based on Rudd and Mann’s characters titled «This Is 40.» While that film wasn’t as favorably received, Apatow has a «This Is 40» sequel idea — there’s just one thing holding the filmmaker back. 

The success of «Knocked Up» propelled Rogen to superstardom, allowing him to headline some of the funniest and most prominent films from that era. In 2016, Rogen looked back on the film positively. «As I was watching it [recently, for the first time in years], I thought, f**k, we are so funny together, me and Katherine. And as we were making the movie, honestly I would make a dozen movies with her,» Rogen said on «The Howard Stern Show» (via E! News). 

Unfortunately, Heigl and Rogen never worked again, but the «Knocked Up» star continues to make strides, especially as a producer. The creative helped bring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back to the big screen and is partially responsible for Prime Video’s «The Boys» — a show that continues to shock Rogen. 

According to Brian Helgeland, discussions about «A Knight’s Tale» sequel have been happening for quite some time. «When we finished ‘A Knight’s Tale,’ we were already thinking about making the sequel as a pirate film,» Helgeland told the outlet, detailing how the villainous Count Adhemar of Anjou (Rufus Sewell) would kidnap Jocelyn (Shannyn Sossamon) … at which point they’re both captured by pirates. That said, Helgeland also revealed that two of his original «A Knight’s Tale» stars came up with a brilliant way to honor the late Heath Ledger, 

As Helgeland recalled, the idea focused on a possible daughter of Ledger’s jousting champion William Thatcher. «Paul Bettany called me after he had dinner with Alan Tudyk, and the guys had an idea that William had passed away during a war,» the director said. «However, William has a teenage daughter who wants to joust, but she’s not allowed to because she’s a woman. She tracks down the gang and they agree to teach her how to joust, but she has to hide who she is. They cut her hair short and she speaks with a deep voice, et cetera.» This is definitely a fascinating idea, but fans of the original film seem fairly split over whether or not they want a sequel.

We’ve known for a while that «Deadpool & Wolverine» will be a who’s who of Marvel film characters from before «MCU» was the hottest buzzword in Hollywood. The first «Deadpool 3» trailer showcases Pyro (Aaron Stanford) for the first time in 18 years after causing chaos in the 20th Century Fox X-Men universe. The second trailer has brought numerous other villains into the mix, with the Russian only being the beginning.

The most recognizable antagonists are closest to the helmet’s entrance. Azazel, played by Jason Flemyng in «X-Men: First Class,» can be found standing near the

Russian. Meanwhile, Lady Deathstrike, portrayed by Kelly Hu in «X2: X-Men United,» is on the other side, gazing toward the behemoth skeletal structure of the fallen Avenger. We can also make an educated guess that Toad, played by Ray Park in «X-Men,» is the hunched-over figure in the group, even after getting electrocuted by Storm (Halle Berry) and seemingly dying in that movie.

However, a good explanation exists for how Toad and others can appear in «Deadpool 3.» If they’re in the Void, they’re all probably from pruned timelines, meaning these characters may not be precisely who they were in the X-Men films audiences have already seen. It could explain why the Russian looks different from his 2004 outing. Even if they’re all variants, they’re bound to give viewers a serious case of déjà vu when «Deadpool & Wolverine» comes out in theaters on July 26.

When «Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One» debuted, fans expressed their disappointment that Ilsa Faust’s death didn’t have much weight and felt rushed, with some speculating that the character’s passing was faked in a bid to trick The Entity and Gabriel. It turns out that the «Mission: Impossible» death was planned while «Top Gun: Maverick» was in production, years before cameras rolled on Ethan Hunt’s (Tom Cruise) seventh adventure. Though it was clearly a deliberate decision that had thought put into it, Faust’s death continues to be a huge question mark for fans.

While some are disappointed that Faust is gone, it seems like Ferguson is happy with her decision to leave «Mission: Impossible» behind for good. During her «UnWrapped» appearance, Ferguson discussed how director Christopher McQuarrie tends to take an improv approach to the films, which leaves the cast with lots of downtime. «You have to literally jump when they say jump, and that’s why it’s amazing. You’re highly trained, highly skilled. It is so intoxicatingly exciting when you’re rolling, but there’s a lot of waiting,» Ferguson said. «And the more characters that are brought in, the more waiting.»

«Mission: Impossible 7» features a handful of new characters, like Grace (Hayley Atwell), making screen time for existing franchise players more difficult to come by. But while Ilsa is seemingly gone for good, Ferguson’s career is only ramping up. The star recently appeared in «Dune: Part Two» and continues to headline Apple TV+’s «Silo» series, both projects she filmed after production on «Dead Reckoning» concluded.

Whether because of food poisoning, the disturbing nature of a scene, or the queasiness brought on by a topsy-turvy stunt, vomiting on set is clearly not an uncommon occurrence in Hollywood. But for Johnny Lee Miller, it wasn’t any of those reasons that caused him to do the technicolor yawn (that’s slang for vomiting, according to Google). Instead, it was the raw emotion of being reunited with a cast of old friends for the first time in decades.

It happened on the first day of rehearsals on the legacy sequel «T2 Trainspotting,» the long-awaited follow-up to the British cult classic from 1992 starring Miller, Ewan McGregor, Kelly Macdonald, Robert Carlyle, Ewen Bremner, and Kevin McKidd. «I was so nervously excited and I ended up throwing up in the bathroom,» Miller told Empire Magazine (via the Scottish Sun). «It was like, ‘Nice to see you, I gotta go vomit,’» he said. Considering their characters had all once been drug-addled drifters who’d often barf up a lung after a bender, it somehow made sense. «It just felt weirdly, awfully appropriate for ‘Trainspotting,’ throwing up in a bathroom,» he said. «Having not seen the guys for years, I hoped they didn’t think I had some awful drug habit.»

It’s a funny coincidence that the two most recent filmmakers who’ll have brought Superman to the screen worked together on an acclaimed project way back when that sent their careers on the paths they’re currently on. In the list of Zack Snyder movies ranked worst to best according to Rotten Tomatoes, the James Gunn-penned «Dawn of the Dead» still stands as Snyder’s best-reviewed film. It makes sense, then, that when it was announced that Gunn and Peter Safran were taking over cinematic control of the DC Universe, the «Rebel Moon» creator gave his old collaborator a congratulatory call.

In 2023, during the push from fans for Warner Bros. to sell the Snyderverse to Netflix, Gunn responded to people supporting the fan-fueled campaign by saying that Snyder had no interest in returning to his interpretation of the DC Universe. Gunn told one fan on X, «Zack hasn’t expressed any interest and seems happy doing what he’s doing (and, yes, we too have talked).» Responding to another fan, Gunn said, «He contacted me to express his support about my choices. He’s a great guy. Again, he seems really happy with the massive world-building he’s doing.»

Perhaps Snyder will give a more detailed view of Gunn’s first film for the new DC Universe when he gets a look at «Superman» like the rest of us on July 11, 2025. Doctor Strange has unwittingly unleashed much multiversal chaos on the MCU. To be fair to him, though, some of that isn’t his doing. The franchise’s space-time continuum has been a mess since the conclusion of the Infinity Saga. While Strange, Wong, and many of his friends can bend space and time to their will to a degree, most Marvel characters have not mastered the art of hopping back and forth between here and there. One doesn’t expect that Deadpool will be a master of it, either.

While Peter Parker (Tom Holland) manages to meet some of his variants and has himself erased from the memory of his friends and family to restore the timestream to its correct order, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) has monkeyed with reality itself to cope with her grief after losing Vision (Paul Bettany). Loki’s (Tom Hiddleston) typical business may be causing havoc, but in the 2nd season of his show, he’s a member of the Time Variance Authority and must master time travel to rescue his friends. As for Strange himself, he must combat evil versions of himself as he hops from dimension to dimension during «Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.»

Thus, the timestream continues to be a yawning issue that bedevils the MCU — and, with luck, may provide an easy escape for Deadpool and Wolverine.

One little-known truth of «Gremlins» is that the original version was supposed to be much darker. But honestly, it’s hard to envision anything darker than having to watch sweet Gizmo slowly deteriorate into oblivion. It’s even worse that Gizmo’s just lying on the ground, entirely helpless. But even though plenty of people want to help the Gizmo puppet, it may be best not to follow the advice from @MainMotar, who wrote, «[He’ll] be fine hes just a little dehydrated, he might needs some water.»

This isn’t even the first time a degraded movie prop has sparked widespread discussion online. In 2019, a rotting Leonardo costume from 1993’s «Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III» went up for auction and sparked a lot of discussion over how creepy it was, especially with its exposed teeth and gums. Now, dehydrated Gizmo is carrying on the legacy and inspiring many comments from people ruminating on what could’ve happened to the little guy, including this one from @MustacheHam: «Gizmo looks like they were left in the car without A/C for 30 minutes on a hot day.»

When looking up what the cast of «Gremlins» looks like today, it’s a safe bet this isn’t what people had in mind for Gizmo. For now, everyone should be prepared to see the image of a horrified Gizmo crop up as a meme across social media. At the very least, all of this attention may convince the Seattle Museum of Pop Culture to prop the puppet up so that it doesn’t look so much like a tiny, adorable corpse.

From there, Nora Dominick asked Carla Gugino how she got involved with the project despite her young age — at which point Gugino revealed that she was never even on any of the original casting lists for Ingrid. According to the actress, it all came down to a meeting she had with Robert Rodriguez after the film’s production had already began; Gugino refers to a «longer story» before giving Dominick the apparently abbreviated version.

«I was sitting with [director and writer] Robert Rodriguez; they’d already been shooting for two weeks,» Gugino recalled. «He was like, ‘I feel like I’m looking for a mother for my kids.’ We were talking about it, and I had auditioned for him and he said, ‘I think if we do our job right, no one will ever question it.’ And it’s so funny like you said, nobody did,» she said directly to Dominick.

Not only that, but Gugino revealed that she and her onscreen husband Antonio Banderas knew each other, which helped create believable chemistry once she was cast: «Antonio Banderas and I had worked together on a movie called ‘Miami Rhapsody’ that David Frankel directed, so we also had a little bit of a history, which was really nice to come into it that way.»

«Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3» finally had the first proper MCU F-bomb, even if Kevin Feige tried to stop it. The MPA typically allows PG-13 movies to have one «f***» during the runtime, but more than that usually leads to an automatic R. «Deadpool & Wolverine» is taking full advantage of its rating and diving headfirst into the deep end of profanity, something the MCU has only flirted with in the past. 

Before «Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,» other F-bomb attempts were censored. In «Iron Man 2,» Senator Stern (Garry Shandling) says, «F*** you» to Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) twice, but it’s given in the context of a C-SPAN recording, so it’s censored for broadcast. Most of the time, MCU F-bombs are cut off before a character can say the full word, which happens at the end of «Spider-Man: Homecoming» and «Spider-Man: Far From Home.» Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) tries to say «motherf***er» before he’s turned to dust in «Avengers: Infinity War.» Lastly, She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany) proudly proclaims, «Captain America f—» before she gets cut off. 

With all this, the MCU has successfully said «f***» once and censored it six times leading up to 2024. «Deadpool 3» blows those numbers out of the water by saying it six times in the trailer alone. Someone may want to have a counter by their side to determine how often it’s said when the movie releases on July 26.

In the «Deadpool & Wolverine» trailer, Emma Corrin’s Cassandra Nova teases her incredible power potential. She’s first shown stepping out of the mouth of what appears to be Ant-Man’s gigantic skull. As Wolverine and Deadpool fight each other, the character sips on her tea and says, menacingly, «Boys are so silly.»

Nova’s powers get spotlighted as Wolverine tries to kill her, lunging at her with his unsheathed Adamantium claws, ready to slice and dice. However, his attempt to kill her ends quickly, as Nova uses her psychic abilities to easily stop the X-Man’s attack. Instead of being stabbed, she makes him skewer himself before directing his claws up in the air and sending them down into the ground. Nova is later seen when Wolverine and Deadpool leap from one of the Ant-Man skull’s eye sockets and escape through a portal, suggesting their encounter with her might not go as planned or that she’s just one villain they meet as they traverse across worlds. Regardless, Professor X’s evil twin’s live-action debut is absolutely terrifying.

While Nova’s story or connection to Deadpool and/or Wolverine in the movie remains a mystery for now, it seems she’s responsible for the death, chaos, and calamity of the latter’s said-to-be-destroyed world. If so, Logan has a deeply personal reason to take out Nova, but he’ll need all the help he can get from other heroes, including Deadpool, to make it happen, as she’s clearly able to easily overpower him one-on-one.

At a juncture in the trailer when Wade seemingly pleads with Logan to help him save his reality, he says, «I don’t know anything about saving worlds, but you do.» When he says this, he points to a blurry Polaroid photo. Based on the dialogue and Wade’s gesture, it at first seems as though the picture relates to Logan’s past heroism. However, a closer look actually reveals the people Wade is seeking to save — a group of mutants who could potentially be this timeline’s current lineup of X-Men.

It’s likely that the bright-haired person in the foreground of the photo is Yukio, who is confirmed to appear in the upcoming film (with Shioli Kutsuna reprising her role from «Deadpool 2»). Additionally, another blurry figure dressed in all black and standing toward the right of the frame bears a resemblance to Yukio’s girlfriend and fellow mutant, Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand). Some of the other folks in the photo could be our un-superpowered friends Vanessa, Dopinder, and the mustachioed Peter (Rob Delaney).

The rest of the photo is far too out of focus for us to speculate on. However, the seeming presence of the aforementioned mutants amongst some new faces teases a larger X-Men presence in this film than in the previous two «Deadpool» entries.

To be fair, Alan Ritchson still had some praise for the character of James Bond, saying that he loves the way the classic pop culture figure can «play 4D chess and stay ahead of us and save the world.» Still, he thinks Jack Reacher is a little more human and fleshed out than the cool, collected James Bond — in that Jack isn’t as cool as Bond, and that’s what really makes the character work.

«Reacher, to me, is like the American Bond, and I think it’s a cool way to go about doing it where it’s a little less purposefully cool,» Ritchson told the outlet. «He’s not in on how slick he is. I don’t feel like we can have characters these days that are in on the joke.»

As Ritchson put it, Jack’s lack of self-awareness is what makes him such a great character: «Either they know that they’re funny, they know that they’re smart, they know that they’re very cool or capable or invincible — I feel like it reduces the stakes of stories, and we’ve seen too many movies, we’re too savvy as an audience to be entertained by that.»
