The AI-generated characters particularly shine when it comes to some of the quirkier personalities in the «Incredibles» films. Consider fashion designer Edna E. This display of intellectual strength and ethical awareness is powerful. Unlike everyone else in the Avengers, Romanoff doesn’t need to judge herself via a magic hammer that an insecure alien prince (with plenty of blood on his own hands) is touting as a detector of worthiness. She is on her own journey — one that ultimately leads to her own pure, personal sacrifice to save half of the living creatures in the universe.
It’s worth pointing out that this is a cinematic story arc, not a comic book one. She does try to lift the hammer (though in a much more desperate moment) in the comics — and sure enough, she succeeds. Of course, that sort of development would take a story like «Age of Ultron» in a very different direction. It appears Kevin Feige and Company opted instead for a casual, self-aware dismissal, saving the reveal of Romanoff’s worthiness for the future and creating one of the most powerful moments in the MCU in the process.
Kristen Stewart went on to say that she feels as if «Love Lies Bleeding» shows every aspect of intimacy between two people, including conversation and physical communication. «Really nailing the details and talking about the physical experience more so than even seeing it, like verbalizing it, talking to each other, sharing space, like having it not be cut up into a ton of different shots, it felt like … a really beautiful thing to deliver an experience that was, like, literal instead of faux,» she said in the interview. Esta costumbre, que de alguna forma ha pasado de ser un gesto de cierta grosería a estar aceptado socialmente, tiene un nombre: phubbing. Y en algunos casos, puede ser bastante perjudicial.
Es cierto que todos en un momento dado echamos mano del teléfono incluso en mitad de una conversación con alguien, pero, ¿cuándo este tipo de comportamientos puede pasar a considerarse problemático? Y sobre todo, ¿qué consecuencias puede llevar a generar en la salud, o en las relaciones sociales?
¿Qué es el phubbing y en qué consiste?

Como tantos otros anglicismos vinculados últimamente a la tecnología, el phubbing es un térmico creado a partir de dos palabras inglesas: «phone» (teléfono) y «snubbing» (ignorar). Solo con ello es fácil hacerse una idea de en qué consiste: ponerse con el móvil y no prestar atención a la persona o personas que se tenga alrededor. Una práctica muy común, la verdad.
Lógicamente, hoy en día las supuestas “tentaciones” que forman parte del teléfono tienen cada vez más peso: atender a una conversación por WhatsApp, prestar atención a las reacciones de una foto publicada en redes sociales, etcétera. Pero el phubbing no es únicamente una cuestión de buena o mala educación, o deferencia hacia los demás, sino que sus consecuencias pueden ir más allá.
Para empezar, está lo más evidente. El phubbing puede hacer que las personas se sientan ignoradas, menos valoradas o menos importantes, lo que puede generar resentimiento o incomodidad en una relación. Es decir, dificultar la construcción de relaciones sólidas y significativas, ya que puede afectar a la complicidad, la capacidad de entendimiento o la intimidad entre dos personas.
Pero más allá de eso, también puede tener consecuencias en el bienestar emocional y mental. Leto II Atreides has a somewhat unusual story in «Dune» compared to many other characters. Fans of the novels will likely be very familiar with the name, as it belongs to Paul Atreides’ son and heir, who controversially serves as God-Emperor for thousands of years following the deaths of Paul and Alia. However, the sandworm hybrid doesn’t feature in the story until «Dune Messiah.» The character we are dealing with here is the first figure to bear the name, sometimes called Leto II the Elder.
Like his later namesake, this Leto II is the son of Paul and Chani and is named in honor of his grandfather, Leto Atreides I. Unfortunately, he is murdered while still an infant by Sardaukar forces when they attack the location where he is hidden. While he only briefly appears in the novel before his death, this event provides further motivation for Paul to overthrow the Emperor.
It isn’t the first time Leto II has been absent from a film adaptation. He is omitted from David Lynch’s version, although he has a minor part in the Syfy miniseries. His lack of appearance is probably due to his lack of importance to the overall story. Additionally, Denis Villenuve’s movies have a truncated timeline, bypassing Paul and Chani having a child.

Of course, that earlier version is ready to die for Riley while this meme-worthy one seems to be exhibiting the very different concerns of an anxious girlfriend’s mind — but that’s a new story, presumably for the sequel to tell.
No solo del telescopio James Web vive la ciencia espacial. La Agencia Espacial Europea posee algunos de los telescopios más potentes del mundo, y al coordinar dos de ellos, han conseguido un nuevo hito: la captura de 86 estrellas dando a luz a planetas.
El primer exoplaneta conocido, es decir, un planeta fuera del Sistema Solar, se descubrió en 1995, hace apenas 30 años. Esto es porque los exoplanetas no emiten luz como las estrellas, y hasta hace poco los telescopios no podían verlos.
Hoy en dia ya conocemos más de 5.000 exoplanetas dispersos por todo el universo, algunos de ellos con unas condiciones similares a la Tierra. Y parece que vamos a tener que añadir algunos más a la lista…
Las fotos de estrellas dando a luz a planetas
Sabemos muy poco sobre la formación de los planetas. En la mayoría de los casos, cerca de una estrella muy joven se genera polvo que va girando, como un disco, o una espiral. A lo largo de millones de años, ese polvo se acumula para formar rocas y, finalmente, un planeta. Pero apenas sabemos nada de los procesos que convierten el polvo o los gases en planetas.
El trabajo de un grupo de científicos internacionales de más de diez países promete llenar algunos de estos huecos. Han coordinado el Telescopio Muy Grande (VLT) del Observatorio Europeo Austral (ESO) en Chile, y el Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), para capturar 86 estrellas con planetas en formación:

Todas estas estrellas están en tres regiones diferentes de nuestra galaxia. Dos de ellas, Tauro y Camaleón I, se sitúan a unos 600 años luz de la Tierra. Orión, una nube rica en gas, está a 1600 años luz de nosotros. Es el lugar de nacimiento de varias estrellas más masivas que el Sol.
«Se trata realmente de un cambio en nuestro campo de estudio», explica Christian Ginski, profesor de la Universidad de Galway (Irlanda), en el comunicado de la ESA. «Hemos pasado del estudio intenso de sistemas estelares individuales a esta enorme visión de conjunto de regiones enteras de formación estelar».
«Algunos de estos discos muestran enormes brazos espirales, presumiblemente impulsados por el intrincado ballet de planetas en órbita», dice Ginski.
«Otros muestran anillos y grandes cavidades excavadas por planetas en formación, mientras que otros parecen lisos y casi inactivos entre todo este bullicio de actividad», añade Antonio Garufi, astrónomo del Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica italiano (INAF).

Alex Hyde-White didn’t let «The Fantastic Four’s» lack of success derail his career. The actor had notable (but minor) credits as young Henry in «Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade» and David Morse in «Pretty Woman» before taking on the role of Reed Richards, and would go on to appear in small roles in 2002’s «Catch Me If You Can» and 2011’s «The Adventures of Tintin.» Hyde-White continues to work to this day and actually appeared in another Marvel project, playing an English Hydra agent from the 1800s in a 2015 episode of «Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.» He also recently played Grizz in Jordan Peele’s critically acclaimed 2022 film, «Nope,» in addition to multiple smaller television roles. Hyde-White also reunited with his «The Fantastic Four» castmates (besides Michael Bailey Smith) in the low-budget Antonio Lexerot-directed superhero film, «Surge of Power: Revenge of the Sequel,» as a character named Club.
Rebecca Staab, a Miss USA pageant competitor in the 1980s, never became a major star but remained consistently booked and busy during her long career. After portraying Sue Storm in «The Fantastic Four,» Staab appeared in several television sitcoms, dramas, and soap operas, including a part as a PBS representative in a 1994 episode of «Seinfeld» along with single episode appearances on «Dharma & Greg,» «The Drew Carey Show,» and «CSI.» Staab also acted in more than ten different Hallmark Channel TV movies before returning to the world of capes and masks in «Superman & Lois,» where she portrayed Gretchen Kelley, a dangerous ally of Lex Luthor (Michael Cudlitz). Staab appeared in «Surge of Power: Revenge of the Sequel» in the role of Heart. She is still very active in the movie and television industry.
Tim Blake Nelson is very enthused about returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor, whose credits include «Watchmen» and «The Ballad of Buster Scruggs,» told ComicBookMovie he had a blast filming «Captain America: Brave New World. «I think people are going to be pretty excited about what this guy looks like. And what he has to say and what he does,» Nelson shared in the interview. «All power to the amazing team over there at Marvel.» In the same conversation, he credited Marvel’s team and longtime makeup artist collaborator David Atherton for helping bring the Leader to life.
Nelson isn’t the only former «Incredible Hulk» actor returning in «Captain America: Brave New World,» as it will be bringing back Liv Tyler’s Betsy Ross. Meanwhile, Harrison Ford will be taking over the role of Thunderbolt Ross in place of the late William Hurt. So, while the movie does star Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, it also acts as a reunion of sorts for certain characters from the first MCU «Hulk» film. Viewers can see Nelson’s Leader in his villainous form in «Captain America: Brave New World,» which arrives in theaters on February 14, 2025.
While Noah’s story appears in several different cultures and is part of a number of key religious texts, Russel Crowe’s film is a Biblical interpretation of the core material. But this is a Darren Aronofsky film first and foremost, which means that he took certain creative liberties. Perhaps the most obvious is the inclusion of the «Watchers,» a race of giant rock creatures who work on behalf of God. Aronofsky also makes some bold decisions, such as showing Noah in a drunken stupor and depicting Tubal-cain (Ray Winstone), an individual who didn’t come across Noah in the Bible, as its villain.
Decisions like these may have come across as controversial to certain audience members. Upon release, the film received both positive and negative reception from Christians. Ray Comfort, a Christian filmmaker and evangelist, was notably critical of the creative liberties taken by «Noah.» Kevin Ham, the president of Answers in Genesis and the future Ark Encounter, called the movie an «insult to Bible-believing Christians, an insult to the character of Noah and, most of all, an insult to the God of the Bible» in an op-ed written for TIME.
The film was banned in several countries despite being watched by so many. China and several Muslim nations such as Qatar, the UAE, and Bahrain banned the picture. People from these Muslim countries were particularly concerned about how the prophet Noah was depicted. It should be noted that the Bible and Quran, the holy text for Muslims, have different interpretations of Noah and his Ark.

«Superman» director James Gunn won’t make the same mistake as Zack Snyder did with the interpretation of Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) in «Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,» where the villain’s long hair made him unrecognizable. Nicholas Hoult’s Luthor, like previous live-action iterations — including Gene Hackman in «Superman,» Kevin Spacey in «Superman Returns,» and Michael Rosenbaum in «Smallville» — will be going bald like his comic book counterpart, as seen in a «Superman» cast photo Gunn shared when production began.
Hoult has transformed his appearance for roles in the past. Most famously, he played Hank McCoy aka Beast in 20th Century Fox’s last X-Men trilogy, wearing prosthetics, blue makeup, and fur to portray the mutant hero. In George Miller’s critically acclaimed «Mad Max: Fury Road,» Hoult stars as the War Boy Nux, shaving his head, wearing numerous prosthetics, and having different body parts painted.
Working out and becoming jacked highlights the actor’s dedication to delivering the best performance, as adding muscle helps illustrate Lex’s complicated relationship with Superman. Audiences can see Hoult’s Luthor come to life on the big screen when Gunn’s «Superman» releases in theaters on July 11, 2025.

Hablando de cualquier negocio y dejando de lado el aspecto financiero, debes de trabajar en una propuesta comercial: lo que vas a vender a la gente.
En cuanto al producto, que en teoría es lo más importante, resulta esencial estar muy seguro de lo que vas a ofrecer. Qué tipo de comida y por qué, analizando por supuesto la zona en la que vas a establecer el negocio, la posible competencia y desde luego qué tan bueno eres preparando ese tipo de comida, ya sea tú mismo o las personas que van a realizar este trabajo. Recuerda que más importante que atraer clientes nuevos es lograr que regresen a tu local. Si lo hacen o no dependerá mucho de la calidad y sabor de la comida que consumieron la primera vez.
Otro punto medular de tu propuesta es la imagen. Si te es posible, ya sea solo o bajo asesoría experta, idea un concepto rector que incluya nombre, logotipo y si puedes hasta un slogan. Plasma esta identidad en mandiles y otros aditamentos y brandea tu negocio, al menos en el exterior. Invierte en mobiliario limpio y garantiza que el lugar luzca siempre fresco y agradable. Una buena imagen siempre será el complemento perfecto de un espacio con comida deliciosa: recuerda que la primera impresión es la que cuenta.
Hablando de los dineros, es importante llevar un control detallado de lo que te cuestan las cosas, desde los gastos fijos y considerables como la renta del local (de ser el caso) hasta los insumos más económicos. Debes establecer medias de cuánto te cuesta todo para que puedas definir precios de forma más balanceada y eficiente, mismos que podrás modificar con el tiempo según la demanda y futuros incrementos en los insumos. Pero el hecho es que al momento de abrir debes de ofrecer ya una carta con precios, y estos no pueden ser arbitrarios ni calculados de manera superflua. Todo cuesta y así debe de regresar a tus manos.
Por último pero no menos importante: antes de abrir el negocio es importante revisar con las autoridades competentes cuáles son los trámites que hay que realizar para poder operar. Es vital estar al día con esto para evitar futuros problemas.
