A passerby accidentally spotted two Lynx talking to each other years ago and Internet users still haven’t gotten over it. We call it talking because humans think the wild animals are having a serious conversation, that comes across more like an argument.

We have seen a funny dog that talks about bacon and an orange kitty with moves like Michael Jackson. But the viral video of the Lynx isn’t a cute clip that’ll make your heart smile, but a captivating moment between two wild cats headlined by terrifying sounds.

Two angry Lynx seen talking to each other

The rare moment involving the Lynx was captured on video by passerby Edward Trist in 2018. The Ontario man was on the rural road when he came across the wild animals indulged in a heated exchange.

The video shows the Lynx facing off each other while making strange sounds without budging from their respective positions.

When one says “RNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH”, the other appears to respond by saying: “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHNHHNHAAAHHH” and the conversation continues. At one point, both animal tap their foreheads together before departing.

The funny as well as intense conversation between the Lynx is one of the most-treasured moments on the Internet and even today it seems to have same impact on viewers it did years ago!

Experts say it could be a mating call

Experts are certain that the exchange between the Lynx was a mating call, which is common in the breeding season.

Luke Hunter, chief conservation officer for Panthera, the global wild cat conservation organization told Live Science:

“Canada lynx, due to their harsh winters, are highly seasonal breeders, and this is right at the end of their usual breeding period.”

He further added: “This is an amazing vocalization I’ve never heard from Canada Lynx. But it’s basically the same thing (as in house cats) — this sort of very screechy vocalization that shows stress and is designed to intimidate the other animal.”

The viral video has attracted all kinds of reactions – most of which are funny. Some users are trying to decode Lynx’s language while others can’t stop laughing.

One wrote: “I would just like to add rawwwwwwwww”

“I am sure they are discussing the elections,” said another.

Another said: “Thanks for the subtitles, because I don’t speak lynxish”

“I have watched it a million times and it never gets old!” read comment.
