Adin Ross’ teased a Kim Jong Un Kick interview this week. However, despite the fact it wasn’t actually the real North Korean leader, the stream still managed to smash streaming records.
Earlier this week, YouTuber Adin Ross sent shockwaves around social media after announcing he was going to interview Kim Jong Un. The streamer teased the interview with the infamous North Korean leader, saying: “I have Kim Jong Un coming on stream. Chat, so Kim Jong Un will be coming on stream in the next 48 hours or so.”

Ross teased the interview by saying the US government warned him of the “consequences”
Ross, who is a co-owner of Kick, initially revealed that US officials had warned him about the “consequences” of interviewing Kim Jong Un.
He said: “We definitely got government officials hitting up my legal team. No, I swear to god, it’s not that. It got millions of views on Twitter and it’s on TikTok and s***. They see everything! The government sees everything.”
He continued: “They saw and hit up, basically, my team and they just let me know there could be consequences for this. You know?”
Adin Ross‘ planned questions for Kim Jong Un included:
- Thoughts on LGBT?
- React to Andrew Tate.
- Visit North Korea?
- Trump vs. Biden.
- USA better than North Korea.
- E-date?
Adin Ross smashes streaming records with fake Kim Jong Un interview on Kick
However, as it turned out, Adin Ross interviewed a fake Kim Yong Un and it was simply a stunt to raise viewership on his channel. And it certainly worked, as moments before the fake Kim Jong Un appeared, Ross’ broadcast skyrocketed as tens of thousands tuned in to watch the interview.
According to Stream Charts, this is now his all-time peak concurrent viewership with over 333,506 fans watching along live. However, it also reportedly lead to the all-time record for most viewers lost in 1 minute on live-stream.
The ‘Kim Jong Un’ Ross had on his stream was actually a professional impersonator who goes by Howard X on Cameo.
Andrew Tate even turned up on the stream at one point
The interview got even weirder when Ross invited Andrew Tate onto the stream, who seemed just as perplexed by the situation as everyone else.
Speaking about his earlier life, Tate said: “I had all these dreams of what I’d do if I ever got rich, ‘Andrew, if you make hundreds of millions of dollars, you’re gonna do this, you’re gonna do that.’
“Turns out, I go to Romanian jail and get woken up at three in the morning by Adin Ross to come and talk to a Kim Jong Un impersonator.”
The stream provoked a wide range of reactions, with some praising Ross for the “outrageous” stunt and others laughing at those for believing he’d actually get the real leader on a stream.
‘Were people actually expecting Kim Jong Un to go on live stream with Adin Ross? come on!’, one person said.
‘This man fooled the whole internet,’ another commented.
‘A moment of silence for people who actually thought he will bring KJU on live stream,’ a third wrote.
