  • The Racy Way Eva Green & Louis Garrel Prepared For The Dreamers’ Nude Scenes

The Racy Way Eva Green & Louis Garrel Prepared For The Dreamers’ Nude Scenes

    [ad_1]

Eva Green went on to explain that she had to dig deep into her own experience for another sequence in which she sleeps with Matthew (Michael Pitt). «The sex scenes were quite full on and frank in The Dreamers,» the actor admitted. «I had a scene in which my own character has to lose her virginity. I had to remember how I felt when I first had sex,» Green went on. «I am so reserved in real life, but I surprised myself completely.»

While director Bernardo Bertolucci was not named by Green explicitly, the filmmaker does have a history of shooting sex scenes in a way that some find questionable. Like many of the filmmaker’s efforts, «The Dreamers,» which follows a young man from America who becomes infatuated with two French twins, is filled with sexual content, which is both titillating and troubling for the audience to experience.

Perhaps it is for this reason that Green decided she might be more comfortable having a drink prior to shooting some scenes in «The Dreamers.» «I was asked if I wanted some alcohol before some of the scenes, and admit that I did have some whisky,» she recalled. «There was a breaking of the ice before the sex scene.»

  • There’s A Clever Beetlejuice Easter Egg In Stranger Things & TikTok Can Prove It

There’s A Clever Beetlejuice Easter Egg In Stranger Things & TikTok Can Prove It

    [ad_1]

The «Stranger Things» timeline has been pretty well documented since the series arrived on Netflix in 2016. The first season kicks off in late 1983, with Season 2 taking place in late 1984 and Season 3 unfolding throughout the summer of 1985. Season 4 then occurs in early 1986, thus making this «Beetlejuice» Easter egg situation a bit confusing. The scene between Joyce Byers and Scott Clarke is in Season 3, meaning that, if we’re to go by real-world dates, Clarke’s diorama has a «Beetlejuice» tombstone in it a whole three years before the film reaches theaters.

Despite the Duffer Brothers’ clear love for the ’80s, their references haven’t always fit the real-world timeline. The series is loaded with historical inaccuracies, from Joyce’s use of Prozac long before the medication was released to the public to the periodic table in Clarke’s classroom including elements that hadn’t been charted at the time the series is set, among a host of others. In the grand scheme, these oversights don’t totally destroy all that «Stranger Things» has accomplished, but they do result in some momentary head-scratching for those who notice the inconsistencies.

The presence of a Beetlejuice tombstone in Mr. Clarke’s diorama doesn’t make timeline sense — unless he came up with the idea for «Beetlejuice» before Tim Burton, or the conniving bio-exorcist actually exists in the «Stranger Things» universe, which are both highly unlikely yet interesting scenarios. Still, it’s a fun nod to one of the most iconic films of the ’80s.

AI Reimagines Dragon Ball’s Super Saiyan Goku As Superman

    [ad_1]

While they might share similar strengths and speeds, fusing Goku and Superman would only increase the chances of encountering an issue that they both encounter regularly — wardrobe malfunctions. Given that Goku’s energy blast-chucking throwdowns regularly lead to his gi suit tearing and Superman has the same issue when battling the likes of Doomsday or Darkseid, their fused form is going to face wear and tear. Considering this, what would the outfit of these combined characters look like, and would it last a fight with whichever unfortunate enemy dared to face them?

The Instagrammer has various options for this, each showing what would happen if one character was a more prominent presence in the fusion than the other. A Goku-looking character wearing Superman’s iconic red and blue onesie with the cape to match looks cool, but so does the Saytonian (part Saiyan, part Kryptonian? Look, it sounds good; go with it) in a gi with that iconic S stretched across his chest.

However, just like with every good fusion, it’s all about balance, and with that in mind, @esheffects’s initial design on Instagram with an orange cape and bottoms and Superman’s top half looks like the winning combination. Now we just need to see him go into battle against the villains of both franchises and hope that a senzu bean counteracts kryptonite.

AI Remakes Star Wars As A Futuristic Egyptian Sci-Fi Movie & It’s Oddly Perfect

    [ad_1]

While the classic helm shape of the likes of Vader and the Stormtroopers is present, there’s something about the ornate line work around these examples and even C-3PO and R2-D2 that might remind fans of a franchise that started under Roland Emmerich’s watch in 1994. The sci-fi film «Stargate» had James Spader and Kurt Russell fighting an alien race that had links to ancient Egypt, and would later span a series of TV shows and movies, in which some of these characters would fit right at home.

That world was full of characters with space-age, shape-changing armor, the most notable of which were the Jaffa guards. Alongside R2-D2tankhamun (works, right?) and this iteration of C-3PO, they’d fit right at home. Both seem far larger and imposing, with the latter looking like he can add the language of giving a beatdown along with the other 6 million he speaks.

The winning iterations, however, are the Pharaoh-like Darth Vader, the intense-looking Stormtroopers, and Boba Fett, who somehow appears even more intimidating with these designs. Besides having Egyptian elements included, the latter also seems to share similarities to Cyrax from Mortal Kombat, which is never a negative. Perhaps, if the well runs dry soon with «Star Wars,» they can throw some Egyptian sand into the mix for a change, even if it is coarse and gets everywhere.

  • How Megan Fox’s Jennifer’s Body Officially Became A Cinematic Universe

How Megan Fox’s Jennifer’s Body Officially Became A Cinematic Universe

    [ad_1]

What would «Jennifer’s Body» be without Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried? Viewers might one day be seeing a version of Diablo Cody’s take on teenage angst, cannibalism, and demonic curses that may or may not involve the two lead actors from the original film. Cody has been working on a reboot of the movie, but there hasn’t been any progress on the project’s status in a while. There have also been rumors of a sequel, which Cody and Megan Fox have stated they wanted to see.

The success of «Lisa Frankenstein» might change all of that. Cody told Deadline that being on the red carpet for the film was likely to give her the «final push that I need to actually make it happen. It’s hard to get things made these days.» That means that as of press time, there’s no studio attached or stars in the wings to give audiences this new take on the battle between lifelong best friends Needy Lesnicki and Jennifer Check.

However, Cody is very aware that interest in a reboot is something of a miracle, as the film grew into its cult classic status after dealing with the critical failure of the film. «This magical thing happened the last few years where that movie found an audience and people began to really appreciate it,» she said. «And it gave me the confidence to say, ‘You know what? I never lost my passion for that world and I want to do another one.’ So, I’m here.» And long may she stay.

  • What The Actor From Taylor Swift’s You Belong With Me Music Video Looks Like Today

What The Actor From Taylor Swift’s You Belong With Me Music Video Looks Like Today

    [ad_1]

The «You Belong with Me» music video was more than just an acting credit for Lucas Till — he actually dated Taylor Swift for a month or two afterward. Luckily, it sounds as though the split was fairly amicable, with no bad blood between the pair. «We just really both liked each other,» he told MTV in 2009. «I really just liked her as a friend. That’s the only reason that didn’t work out.»

Unlike some of Swift’s other exes, Till doesn’t seem to have a song about him, which is likely for the best. And their drama-free breakup seems to have allowed them to remain on good terms. In 2020, when Entertainment Tonight asked him what it was like to work with Swift all those years ago, he described her as «generous» and «professional,» continuing, «I remember just feeling like a star when I came and did that music video. I felt so special.»

Honestly, the video may be worth a second look for more than simply seeing a young version of Till. After all, Till portrays a football player whom Swift’s character pines after, and now the singer-songwriter is dating NFL star Travis Kelce (leading to some complicated Super Bowl plans that have Swifties doing the math). Was it foreshadowing her one true love all along?

  • The 5 Best Horror Movies For Scaredy Cats

The 5 Best Horror Movies For Scaredy Cats

    [ad_1]

Even if you’re not into horror, it’s more than likely that the filmography of Jordan Peele has come across your radar in recent years. Quite frankly, any entry from his ever-expanding filmography could have been included here, from his highly underrated 2019 horror film, «Us,» to his 2022 chilling sci-fi epic, «Nope.» But without a doubt, his 2017 directorial debut, «Get Out,» remains his freshest work, having earned its rightful title as a modern genre classic.

The film follows Chris (Daniel Kaluuya), a Black man who tags along with his white girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams), to stay with her parents for the weekend. Little does he know, a sinister plan is cooking with Chris’ name all over it. Low on extreme violence while being high on entertainment value, «Get Out» makes for a perfect easing into the current age of horror cinema, with its oddball ideas melding seamlessly with the societal themes it tackles. Peele’s known knack for comedy amplifies the quality of his horror work, making «Get Out» as much a satire about interracial relationships as it is a horrifying depiction of modern-day slavery.

The film’s exquisite Oscar-winning screenplay holds it together, effortlessly balancing its many tonal shifts while both hiding and revealing information in endlessly creative ways. You can watch «Get Out» 1,000 times and still uncover new details, some so blatantly in your face that you’ll be dumbfounded as to how you didn’t notice them before. But that’s simply the magic of this movie.

  • Star Wars: Episode I Without Jar Jar Binks Does Exist

Star Wars: Episode I Without Jar Jar Binks Does Exist

    [ad_1]

Ironically enough, the same revolutionary computer technology that created «Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace» allowed fans to tamper with it, as was the case for Mike J. Nichols’ «The Phantom Edit.» But while the Jar Jar-free rendition appeased plenty of fans, the joyride didn’t last long.

Initially, Nichols’ version was made as little more than an exercise in editing and storytelling. But after sharing a copy with some friends, it gained traction, with Nichols receiving congratulatory emails from viewers around the world. Even filmmaker and Star Wars fan Kevin Smith, who was long rumored to be responsible for the fan edit, praised the new version, saying in an interview with the Pittsburgh Post, «Some of these edits make the movie flow a lot better. Smart editing to say the least.»

At first, Lucasfilm didn’t make much fuss about the re-edit, but as it gained greater attention globally, the studio grew more vocal. Lucasfilm representative Jeane Cole told Zap2it (via Salon), «When we started hearing about massive duplication and distribution, we realized then that we had to be very clear that duplication and distribution of our materials is an infringement. And so we just kind of want to put everybody on notice that that is indeed the case.» Not long after, Nichols, who never made any money from the project, released a statement apologizing to Lucasfilm and discouraging fans from sharing it.

Nowadays, finding a copy of «The Phantom Edit» is near impossible; it may be considered lost media. Nevertheless, it remains a unique piece of Star Wars history that shows how far fans are willing to go to preserve their favorite franchise.

  • Ryan Reynolds And Deadpool’s Origins Share One Uncanny Coincidence

Ryan Reynolds And Deadpool’s Origins Share One Uncanny Coincidence

    [ad_1]

As of this writing, it’s been a few years since comic book readers got to see Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool in a new movie. Fortunately, the character’s unofficial Hollywood hiatus will end with the release of «Deadpool 3.» The highly anticipated film will be the first «Deadpool» movie made since Disney acquired 20th Century Fox in 2019. That means «Deadpool 3» will take place at least partly in the Disney-owned Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to a translation of one Japanese logline for the film, it’ll even see Reynolds’ Deadpool «change the history of the MCU» alongside Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine (via The Direct).

Whether or not «Deadpool 3» actually makes as much of an impact on the MCU as that logline suggests remains to be seen. Either way, the film’s inclusion of Jackman’s Wolverine is enough to make it a must-see title in the eyes of many comic book readers. Fans, notably, aren’t the only ones who are excited about Deadpool and Wolverine’s forthcoming, big-screen team-up, which many had thought would never happen due to the events of 2017’s «Logan,» which ends with the death of the «X-Men» hero.

In a November 2022 interview with Collider, Reynolds shared his excitement about his «Deadpool 3» co-star’s return as Wolverine. «Working with Hugh is a dream come true,» the actor revealed. «But working with Logan and having Logan and Wade together in a movie is beyond any dream I would ever be audacious enough to have.»

  • Princess Leia’s Hair Buns Have An Inspiration Most Fans Don’t Know

Princess Leia’s Hair Buns Have An Inspiration Most Fans Don’t Know

    [ad_1]

Decades after Princess Leia’s «A New Hope» look cemented its place in Hollywood history, George Lucas told Time in 2002 how he came to give the character her famous hairdo. «In the 1977 film, I was working very hard to create something different that wasn’t fashion, so I went with a kind of Southwestern Pancho Villa woman revolutionary look, which is what that is. The buns are basically from the turn-of-the-century Mexico. Then it took such hits and became such a thing,» he said, revealing the role women like Clara de la Rocha played in Leia’s hairstyling.

Ultimately, Leia doesn’t go back to her «A New Hope» look in her original and sequel «Star Wars» trilogy appearances. However, that’s not to say that the revolutionary look doesn’t appear elsewhere in the Skywalker saga. In the prequel trilogy, Leia’s mother, Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman), also dons some pretty unique hairstyles. Among them is a style from «Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith» that very much evokes Leia’s «A New Hope» look, albeit with the buns raised above the ears in a more Hopi-esque fashion, as seen above.

  • Yellowstone’s Taylor Sheridan Slammed Forrest Gump & Fans Weren’t Happy

Yellowstone’s Taylor Sheridan Slammed Forrest Gump & Fans Weren’t Happy

    [ad_1]

While many «Forrest Gump» fans took Taylor Sheridan to task for his comments, the movie has always had its share of disparagers. This is in part due to it winning the Academy Award for best picture over «The Shawshank Redemption» and «Pulp Fiction.» It’s one of those movies everyone either loves or hates, but it’s worth analyzing whether Sheridan’s opinion is a bit too myopic for what the film is. Sheridan elaborated, «[Forrest is] just gonna go on a f***ing run across America, and everyone’s gonna follow him, and that’s gonna heal the country? … What is this s***?»

While «Forrest Gump» has earned a reputation for being too feel-good, there’s more there than many people give it credit for. It’s worth reading Dave Kehr’s 1994 review of «Forrest Gump» for the New York Daily News. He wrote, «What looks at first like a bright, bouncy and sentimental trip through the baby-boom era (the film moves from 1943 to 1983) turns out, on closer inspection, to be a dark and driven work, haunted by violence, cruelty and a sense of the tragically absurd.» Sheridan points toward the Forrest running sequence as evidence of its excessive sentimentality while ignoring the film’s portrayal of the Vietnam War and other aspects that delve into a darker side of the American experience.

Movies are inherently subjective. People can watch the same thing and come away with entirely different opinions; that’s part of the beauty of film. Sheridan can like what he likes, but if he truly thinks «Forrest Gump» is too simplistic, perhaps he should consider these words from X user @1021129O: «Sometimes life is very simple if you want it to be.»

  • Can Jedi Use Force Lightning?

    Can Jedi Use Force Lightning?

    [ad_1]

The «Star Wars» Legends timeline is usually the place where you’ll find more extreme and bizarre Force abilities. Grey Jedi, battle meditation, Sith ghosts, ancient dark side gods — these are the trappings of the old Expanded Universe. As such, it should come as no surprise that Jedi use Force lightning pretty often in the EU.

The «Knights of the Old Republic» video games feature plenty of Jedi who use Force lightning, albeit typically in a weaker form than the Sith. The technique is frowned upon within the Jedi Order because many believe it has the power to corrupt users with the dark side. For this reason, the ability is often stronger when channeled by the most powerful Sith, but Jedi can still summon lightning. A more pure version of Force lightning used by Jedi like Plo Koon and even Luke Skywalker is referred to in Legends as Electric Judgement. This form is typically golden, reflecting the light side from which it draws its strength.

In truth, video games are probably a big reason why Jedi lightning is so prevalent in the Expanded Universe. In games where you get to choose between the dark side and the light, it’s no fun to exclude half of all players from the flashiest and most powerful Force combat ability. The current canon is often more conservative with such things, and yet, it still has numerous instances of Jedi using Force lightning.

  • Carl Weathers Landed His Iconic Rocky Role By Insulting Sylvester Stallone

Carl Weathers Landed His Iconic Rocky Role By Insulting Sylvester Stallone

    [ad_1]

As it happens, the awkward audition wasn’t the only issue Carl Weathers had to push through to obtain his iconic role as Apollo Creed. In a 2017 interview with The Rich Eisen Show, the actor revealed that the «Rocky» studio originally didn’t even want to test him in the role. «I get the script and my agent says to me, ‘But they don’t really want to meet you,’» he said. «Wait a minute, I read this script, I’m chomping at the bit because it’s so brilliantly written, and I see yours truly as the only guy who can play Apollo Creed, of course. But they don’t want to see me?»

It took a concerted effort from Weathers and his agents to convince the «Rocky» makers to simply give him an audition. Of course, the infamous story of the actor unknowingly insulting Sylvester Stallone is what follows, though Weathers did offer up an alternative explanation for his casting. «I tell people I think I got the job because Sly wanted to beat the hell out of me,» the actor suggested. «[He was thinking,] ‘I’ll show him who’s a real actor.»

While Weathers characterizes his journey to the role of Apollo as a battle against the odds, it seems Stallone himself was plenty confident in the actor’s ability to play the role. In an Instagram video tribute, Stallone reacted to Weathers’ death and shared his perspective of their first meeting. «I give him incredible credit and kudos because when he walked into that room and I saw him for the first time, I saw greatness, but I didn’t realize how great,» he said. «I never could have accomplished what we did with ‘Rocky’ without him.»

Coyote Vs. Acme – How Can A Studio Delete A Movie? What We Know So Far

    [ad_1]

In the wake of the apparent death of «Coyote vs. Acme,» Twitter is incredibly furious at Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav – who reportedly didn’t even watch the movie — over the call. Sadly, it seems likely that this pushback will be ignored. After all, the folks at WBD have weathered the storm of fan outrage time and time again, even ignoring fans as they pleaded for other doomed features to see the light of day. Not long before WBD chose to scrap «Coyote vs. Acme,» «Scoob! Holiday Haunt» and «Batgirl» suffered similar fates, seemingly for some of the same reasons.

Much like «Coyote vs. Acme,» «Scoob! Holiday Haunt» and «Batgirl» were both reportedly at the finish line when WBD pulled the plug on them. According to Variety, both features were left unreleased due to tax reasons, with WBD choosing to simply get rid of the projects rather than give them a chance in theaters or on the Max streaming service.

Regardless of the quality of these features, it’s disappointing that all three of them are unlikely to ever see the light of day. The cast and crew of each project worked hard, and the results of their labor should be shared with the world rather than be destroyed or locked away due to corporate decision-making.

  • 5 Actors Who Did Nude Scenes After Turning 50

5 Actors Who Did Nude Scenes After Turning 50

    [ad_1]

The nudity in Abel Ferrara’s 1992 crime drama «Bad Lieutenant» isn’t notable because it’s funny, uplifting, or consequential for the character — it’s notable because it really proves just how depraved the main character is. As the unnamed bad lieutenant, Harvey Keitel makes his way through New York City’s seedy underbelly, constantly doing drugs and making alliances with drug dealers for product (while promising that he won’t report them to his colleagues). So what’s the nude scene in question?

Early in the film, Keitel’s character engages in a threesome with two women while he’s incredibly intoxicated, and in the process, the actor is fully nude, letting the camera linger on his naked body as he dances. The second scene is much more disturbing; after pulling over two young teenage girls driving without a license, Keitel’s character masturbates as he harasses them and forces them to simulate a sexual act. It’s unsettling, cruel, and hard to watch, but Keitel gives everything possible to his performance as a corrupt cop openly flouting his power … including full views of his body.

If you or anyone you know has been a victim of sexual assault, help is available. Visit the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network website or contact RAINN’s National Helpline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673).

  • Vince Vaughn’s Wedding Crashers Role Changed Bradley Cooper In One Major Way

Vince Vaughn’s Wedding Crashers Role Changed Bradley Cooper In One Major Way

    [ad_1]

Since «Wedding Crashers» allowed Bradley Cooper to break out of his leading man mold, he’s built up his reputation for versatility in a wide variety of roles. Instead of solely attaching himself to R-rated successes such as «The Hangover» franchise and «Failure to Launch,» he wound up scoring hits in the dramedy «Silver Linings Playbook» and the action-comedy big-screen translation of «The A-Team.»

Ever since, he has balanced mainstream fare — such as voicing Rocket Raccoon in the «Guardians of the Galaxy» series of films — with independent or more serious works, such as «A Star is Born,» «The Place Beyond The Pines,» «American Hustle» and  «Licorice Pizza.» It’s a balancing act that has won Cooper a total of 12 Oscar nominations for both his acting and his producing credits — a stack of nods that thus far hasn’t borne any fruit yet. Fans will see if his luck changes and his work and unrecognizable look as Leonard Bernstein in «Maestro» will reverse his luck when the 96th Academy Awards ceremony takes place on March 10, 2024.

Apart from Alex, the most clever and ruthless Droog is James Marcus’ Georgie, who challenges the protagonist’s authority and ultimately betrays Alex with the other Droog underlings. Georgie and Dim (Warren Clarke) later return as police officers who brutalize their former gang leader after a chance encounter.

Marcus continued acting after «A Clockwork Orange» and has appeared in over 60 movies and TV shows — usually as a guest star, but occasionally in a larger role. His longest tenures in a single role have been as Bert Bamford on the children’s show «Grandad» and as Station Officer Tate on the firefighter drama «London’s Burning.» He also wrote and directed the 1989 crime thriller «Tank Malling,» starring Ray Winstone.

Apart from Marcus and McDowell, a third Droog actor is also still with us. Michael Tarn, who plays the comparatively minor role of background Droog Pete, was only 16 when the movie was filmed. He kept acting throughout the 1970s but has made only a small handful of screen appearances since then. His last role was in the 2002 crime film «Shooters.»

Breaking Bad’s Tuco Humbles Thanos In A Wild Fan-Made MCU Crossover

    [ad_1]

Alternative Cuts does a great job of blending two drastically different scenes to create some genuine narrative cohesion. It takes scenes from «Breaking Bad» Season 1, Episodes 6 and 7, two episodes which introduce Tuco (Cruz) and his love for Walt (Bryan Cranston) and Jessie’s (Aaron Paul) blue product. In the case of «Avengers: Endgame,» the final moments from the battle are used to show Thanos’ confusion and defeat. While it’s hard to imagine a «Breaking Bad» and MCU crossover happening in real life, this is as good as it gets, showing that Thanos is no match for one of New Mexico’s most chaotic drug peddlers and gangsters.

As expected, fans are loving this well-edited crossover that has over 11 million views, with many pointing out the concept’s sheer absurdity. «I love the idea that Tuco has no idea what the Infinity Minerals are but just instinctively breaks one and snorts it,» wrote YouTube user @chickencurry420 about the video. «I like the implication that just being able to snort an infinity stone and live is enough to be worthy of Mjolnir, which if you think about it, makes perfect sense,» wrote @bumblebeeman2103.

The video has proven to be so popular that Alternative Cuts has made several other edits combining «Breaking Bad» with other properties. Another popular video throws the «Breaking Bad» characters into the world of Gordon Ramsey’s cooking reality show «Hell’s Kitchen,» where Walt and Tuco compete in a cook-off alongside several other contestants. Alternative Cuts proves not only how versatile «Breaking Bad» is but also that the show’s popularity continues to grow nearly a decade after it wrapped up.

    Movies Leonardo DiCaprio Rejected

    [ad_1]

When the biopic «Richard Jewell» was first announced in February 2014, it was billed as a reunion for Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill, who worked together so well on «The Wolf of Wall Street.» Jewell’s story dates back to the 1996 Summer Olympics, held in Atlanta. He was working as a security guard when he spotted a suspicious-looking backpack. It turned out that bag had a bomb in it, and Jewell helped get people to safety before it exploded. He was later named as a suspect and his life was turned upside down. Hill was set to play Jewell (who was later cleared of any wrongdoing), with DiCaprio in the role of his attorney.

According to a Deadline report from September 2014, director Paul Greengrass was ready to come aboard. However, at this point, DiCaprio had made it clear that he wanted to take on fewer roles. «I am a bit drained,» he said in a statement (via Slash Film). «I’m now going to take a long, long break.» Between that announcement and the release of «Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,» DiCaprio only shot one new movie, his Oscar-winning film «The Revenant.» His plan to take a break from acting likely stopped the original incarnation of «Richard Jewell» from taking off. By the time the feature was revived in April 2019, neither Hill nor DiCaprio were attached. Paul Walter Hauser and Sam Rockwell ended up playing Jewell and his attorney, respectively, though the original stars stayed on board as producers.
